Oh what a Christmas we had! Three BIG boxes came to our house just for ME! Well…okay…maybe not just ONLY for me but I’m gonna tell my goofy sisfur Roxx everything inside is for me and she can have the boxes! BOL!!!
We didn’t get to open ANYTHING until Christmas morning. :o(
I didn’t think the folks would EVER get up! I kept looking out the window hoping the sun would start to appear so I could pounce on Mommy and we’d all get up to see what came inside the boxes just for ME.
WOWZER! There were BIG fluffy mingo toys and squeaky toys and little bouncing balls on strings that are driving me crazy and tons of drool-worthy treats and some silly pink coat Mom put on Roxx. BOL!!! She looks like a dork! Wait - she IS a dork! Hahaha! OMD! There is so much stuff I’ll have new toys to play with till next Christmas!
I had to hurry and grab all I could put in my mouth and hide them behind Daddy’s chair. It took me FIVE trips to store my stash! FIVE! WOW! I really worked up an appetite…good thing Mommy broke out some of the new goodies to try. I needed energy!
THANK YOU sooo much to ALL our wonderful Dogster Families for making this the most specialist Christmas EVER!
What shocking hurts we faced as we watched in horrid disbelief the towers fall, the pentagon explode and a plane of heroes crash to save a nation.
As with any major event in the annals of time we remember exactly where we were, what we were doing and the ticking of the clock as it forever imprinted the history that unfolded before our very eyes.
Our hearts go out to those countless brave and courageous warriors who stormed the towers knowing they faced their doom to save the lives of victims of terrorism; those fearless passengers who willingly overtook their captors to prevent others from being murdered; families that will never again be the same because of the senseless acts of cowardly terrorists who preyed upon the unsuspecting.
This great nation is made up of the best and brightest because of the freedoms we possess. Those freedoms come at a heavy price; our stalwart military who guard us and give us the security we so often take for granted. Let us not forget our policemen, firemen, coast guard, national guardsmen and the many others who selflessly acted as one to hold the fibers of our country together when they saw the threads start to unravel.
Countless, faceless heroes who we wouldn’t recognize passing on the street but who would lay down their very lives to save us from harm; these are the people who we praise and thank God for each and every day.
Remember 9-11 lest we forget that we are Americans, we are free and we are one nation under God!
Proudly display those stars and stripes because it is more than a mere US flag it signifies the honor and reverence we hold in our hearts for those that gave and sacrificed their all so that we might live a better life with security and freedom.
