Late on in the year 1991, after the death of Pretty, we suddenly noticed how old Butch, our dog, was looking. It appeared that he missed the companionship of the old cat. So, we decided to get another dog. After a great deal of debate, we decided to get a West Highland White Terrier, as my Mum had always wanted a small dog. So, we bought Morag, the runt of her litter, just in time for Christmas (although I hasten to add she wasn't intended as a Christmas present!). She remained rather small for a Westie, but became a little charmer, and a wonderful companion for Butch in his later years, and for Penny and Felix when they arrived on the scene. She grew up to be a real lap dog, even though her breed is listed as otherwise.
Bio:
Morag suffered from skin problems and allergies all her life, and required medication for many years. At last, after ten years, she began to suffer liver problems as well. One night, she developed breathing difficulties, which we thought might pass, but the next morning we found her lying on the kitchen floor. She had passed away during the night. It was the 10th October 2002. Her body was cremated, and her ashes spread in my garden and on the beach, where she used to romp and where my dad's ashes were spread. My father adored her.
