Giant Moths Attacked!!!

Mom left the house for school today and as always, she put me, the fearless defender, into my crate... Ugh. Well, while Mom was out, giant moths came into the bedroom!! The moths were HUGE! The moths flew around the room and landed on the PJ pants mom had left by my crate, ripping into the leg, eating holes in them! Well, I know Mommy really likes those PJ's and since I couldn't chase the moths away, I pulled the PJ pants into my crate but alas, it was too late. The giant moths ate giant holes in the leg of the PJs... The giant moths flew away when they heard Mom finally arrived home. Mom opened the bedroom door and looked at me with the holey PJs in my crate and said I was a bad girl for pulling her PJs into my crate and eating holes in them. I guess that somedays you just can't win!

Hmm, I suppose this is becoming my yearly update BOL! We moved yet again but mom and dad did it this time so it wasn't so skeery. Daddy got me a house! Ok, ok, I suppose the rest of the dogs can be here too. Mom is building me my own agility course in the back. So far she has built 4 jumps, 12 weave poles, and a learners teeter for Kitsu.

That reminds me. Kitsune joined our lives. I'm not sure why though, she takes so much of my mommy time up :( I have to admit I love to steal, um, I mean "borrow", whatever toy she happens to have. Then we wrestle over it for a long time and chase around. Ok, I guess she isn't all bad. Hopscotch is still a stick in the mud and won't play with me but we hang out on the couch together. We also tag-team daddy for face kisses, I love that game hahaha.

I will soon be meeting my beagley crew from the Snoop Dog Beagles group right here in my own town! There will be about 30 dogs to play with AND like, 25 people to get treats off of! It is going to be furtastic. Kitsune is going to come and play too but Hopscotch says there is no way she is going to spend a weekend with a bunch of smelly beagles O.O We are SO not smelly :-/ Mom washes me about once every two weeks. There is no way for me to be smelly.

Well, I suppose I should try and update this more often... We'll see about that!

All the new things.

We are officially back in Cleveland and no longer in KY. One day a bunch of guys came to the apartment. I tried to scare them off by barking but it didn't work. These guys took ALL of our stuff! Some of it has reappeared up here in Cleveland but I'm not sure how that happened. I'm glad my toys and food are here.

On the day we left our apartment behind mom and dad took me back to the place I go to learn and said it was a special CGC test day. Mom and I practiced some outside of the ring. I was flawless. I didn't pick at the floor or try to play with the other dogs. Well, in the ring was a different issue. I did well with petting and grooming but I wanted to wander while mom was walking with me, I did pay some attention to her, just not much. Then I did well for staying and coming. The last parts of walking through a crowd I was pretty interested in the people walking by and then the other dog came into the ring and boy did I wanna play with him. Mom was certain I had failed by that point. As we finished the last exercise in the ring the instructor told us congratulations, your dog just passed her Canine Good Citizen Test! Mom was floored and very happy. When she said "YAY Patchy" I jumped up on her BOL! She carried me out so I wouldn't pull on her after getting told I was good. Mom needs to remember that the CGC isn't a percison test and that is why I passed. Mom thought I could have done sooo much better though and says we will work on that. I got a ton of treats and pets for passing though. I'm going to get a special tag in the mail that says I'm a good citizen too :).

My Very First Birthday!

On June 3rd I had my very first birthday! I got lots of stars and rosettes from my puppy pals. During the early afternoon, mom and dad took us to get dog sundaes at Three Dog Bakery! The sundaes even had melted carob on top, mmmmmm. I ate mine like the lil' princess I claim to be but Hopscotch threw her whole face in!! She ended up stealing most of mom and dad's attention/camera time while we were eating. Thats ok though, it let me eat my sundae without too many flashes! In the evening mom brought out my peanut butter birthday cake! OMD it was soooo good!!! Too bad for Hoppy, the cake had wheat in it so she couldn't have any but mom brought her a bunch of special wheat-free treats and gave her a bunch of the frosting from my cake. Afterwards mom brought out my present of a new bunch of lil' squeeker balls! I had just finished killing my last set earlier that evening, it is like mom is a fortune teller or something! I had a pawtastic birthday. I can't wait till next year!

Agility!

I'm doing a fun new thing! Mom calls it "agility" but I call it "go get the cheese". There are all sort of funny looking things set out in a room where we go once a week. We have gone to play "get the cheese" twice now. The first week I had to sit on a table to get cheese. Then I needed to run thru a tunnel and mommy would be at the end when I came out and there would be CHEESE!!! Today I had to climb a hill and no matter what side I started at there was always cheese on the other side. It only took one time before I started running SO fast over it. Then I had to run between a bunch of poles to get the cheese. Well, even though there were guides there I kept jumping over them, going under them to try and show mom that there was a better way for me to get the cheese at the end but alas, she insists I go between them. Then we put them all together and I get cheese AND hot dog! Mom just runs with me and tells me the next location to get cheese. It is the bestest game ever.

KY Humane Society Fundrasier!

This year we are participating in the 13th annual WAGGIN' TRAIL 5K fundrasing walk on Saturday, May 19. I was adopted from the KY humane society, so we are definatly participating in this event. The KHS does a wonderful job caring for the animals and helping them into new homes.

Here's how the money raised can help needy animals...

$50 - Provides one day's worth of food and water for 25 needy pets in our care.
$100 - Provides supplies for 10 surgeries at the new low-cost S.N.I.P. Clinic.

surgery for one homeless pet.
$500 - Provides the gas for KHS rescue vehicles for two weeks. (They transport to local

Prision Letter

Well, I've finally done it. I got caught in the act... boy was mommy mad. She walked in on me in the bedroom... there I was sprawled out, eating her shoe. Now I'm in puppy jail...

You see, I've got a problem. I don't like being alone. If I am in my crate and nothing is in reach I'm alright. When I am in a room or the house all alone everything is fair game. I know better than doing that but I can't seem to help myself. Sometimes, I can do well by myself but you never really know what you are going to get.

Mommy left me at grammy's last week so she could go check on Hopscotch. I was on good behavior all week, building up the trust to stay home alone. Then, I finally got left in mom's room, free from my crate. I shredded all of the trash from the can. I chewed up slippers and shoes. (I had been wanting to eat those forever!!) I chewed off part of a visor, those are tuff. I got a little of moms clothing ripped apart too. The beauty of this is that no one saw me doing it, so I really can't get in trouble. I could have done it 10 min ago and completly forgotten by the time the humans discover my work.

Well, mom took me back to KY with her. I usually have free range of the apartment because I love to sleep in the sun, mom leaves all the rooms open so I can. Mom went to look for me but couldn't find me, I came out of the bedroom. Mom figured I had been asleep on the bed. When she came in to check later, that is when she discovered me and the shoe. I know its wrong. It just feels so nice to rip into something tuff and destroy it. All of my soft toys are to weak for me, they die within half a minute. Stuff in mom's room works so well while I'm alone though, now I just have to get more. I also tore out a two inch section from one of the bath mats. Mom didn't find that one til I was already locked up.

So, here I am, in detention. Mommy says I am starting rehab the week after next... I'll let you know when I am a free-dog again, if I ever am a free dog again...

New Year!!

Wow, I have done so much recently!! I love the Howlday season. Every thing has been pawtastic!

We had this pawsome thing called Thanksgiving where everyone gives thanks for having me around. I got a ton of food from people too! Next was the Christmas season. I got to go visit Santa Paws with my sister. It was so much fun! Hoppy got in trouble for barking at him though BOL! On Christmas day, I got to run through a HUGE pile of wrapping paper and tear some up!! I also got a bag of treats and a bunch of new toys! I destroyed a ton of them in one day. Then, last night was New Years eve. I didn't like that one so much.. mommy gave me some treats but daddy said I couldn't go to the party.

Well, other then the crazy howldays, I have been living at grandma's house and getting in an itty-bitty-teansy bit of trouble.. Apperantly, I'm not allowed to take things off of coffee-tables. If they don't want me on it, why did they make it so short for me?? I've only done a couple of bad things here... like chew mom's shoe, an insert from another, some toy, a couple decorative door hangings, maybe a few other small items.. and you can't prove it was me who left a wet spot on the dining room floor... no one saw me do it.

Aside from grandma's I got to go with mom to watch kids. I don't know if I like that one so much. There are 5 of them and those buggers are fast. I don't mind them so much til they jump, that really scares me! Mom says I'm very good with them, I let the little baby take toys from me and I just sit and watch. Mom says she will only bring me on days a few are gone. Mommy and I are going to come back to live in Cleveland for a bit. I think mom might put me in daycamp instead of bringing me to the kids, that will be fun! We'll see what happens!

White stuff!!

Mom got my sis and I ready to go outside at our regular time last night. This Cleveland area is awfully cold so mommy put my fleece jacket on me and out we went. Everything looked all funny though.. Instead of cold, dark, hard ground, there was cold, white, n' FLUFFY ground. Oooooooo someone made a really BIG mess out here. I promise it wasn't me mom, I didn't do this. Mommy looked at the white stuff and said "eww its snowing". Humans have strange names for things. I don't understand how I'm supposed to do my regular outdoor routine when everytime I sniff, I get this stuff stuck on my nose! Eventually I did and we began our walk around the block.

The eww it's snowing feels funny on my paws! I love to run through it, its so funny! At the corner, mom started trying to clean up the big mess. Aw mom, I'm having fun though! Wait, my mommy isn't cleaning, she has a ball! I want the ball, I want the baaaaallllll!!! Mom hands me the ball and I bite on REALLY hard cause I wanted to run off with it but the ball dissapeared! All I had was a mouth of water, so being the beagle I am I start sniffing to find it. I bite at the eww its snowing and it reminds me of something. I bite it again... hmm.. its like, a GIANT ICE CUBE!! Ice is one of my favorite things to play with and eat! Whoooo the eww its snowing is here for me to play with and eat! I ran back and forth the whole walk biting at all the fluff I could! Mom says I must have walked 2 blocks to her one. Eww its snowing is a lot of fun. I hope I play in it again soon.
