Pet-Peeves:
Mom and Dad eating a steak and not giving me any! Trying to run with a dog next door, who is deaf and can't hear me. Not being able to get close enough to the other neighbor dog. Stuff that makes me sneeze! Strangers coming into my home!

Favorite Toy:
HIs stuffed mousey, and he carries it around by it's nose. Zach has about 5 of them! Booda toys are good too! :-) His soft frisbee's r great!

Favorite Food:
Chicken drummies, as Zachy calls them, Beggin Strips, Science Diet treats, Milkbone Hotdog cookies

Favorite Walk:
Me and Daddy walk to the mail box, which is down the road, and sometimes I get to run back off of my leash.

Best Tricks:
Sitting pretty and holding it for a long time. Crawling on my belly. Can shake either of my hands. Rolling over is not mastered yet.

Arrival Story:
I lost my buff colored cocker, Nicolas at 9 yrs old. He had bone marrow cancer, and a severe blood disorder. Nicky is My King at Rainbow Bridge now. My husband and I decided to get a puppy when Katie, my other buff colored cocker was still alive, I did not know at that time that I was going to lose Katie too. Zachary was bought from a breeder in Illinios. I didn't think I wanted another buff colored cocker, or even another doggie. But I changed my mind after 4 to 6 weeks. We saw an ad in the paper for a party color cocker, male, called about him and then drove for many hours to meet him. I knew I could never replace Nicolas but I also wanted a playmate for Katie. Zach could also give us more of the unconditional love doggies are so good in giving. It was simply meant to be. Then about 3 months after we got our Zachy boy, we lost our Katie Marie. So now both Nicky and Katie are at Rainbow Bridge, and Zach is such a comfort to us, he is just a wonderful doggie! I am so glad I/we were open to getting another doggie!

Bio:
Zachary was born in Illinois, but when Mom & Dad got me, we all lived in a suburb of St. Louis, MO. Now we all reside somewhere out in West Omaha, Nebraska. In the US A!!

Hi Everybody!
My Mommy found a lump on my belly. She thought it was on one of my nipples, but she is not a Vet so she didn't know. After about one week or so, she and Daddy took me to the Vet. I was a really good boy and everyone was proud of me, they said. The Vet, Dr. K. is so nice and a pretty lady too, Daddy says so too. :-) Well Dr. K. took a needle and pushed it into the lump to get a sample of the cells in it. Then she asked us to wait while she looked at it under the microscope. She came back into the room and said the cells were quite abnormal and that it would need to be removed as soon as possible. She did want me on an antibiotic for a little while before my surgery, so I am on them now and my surgery is on Mon. Sept. 14th. She calls it a "mastectomy". Yikes thats my private part, but since I am a boy I have not ever needed them for anything, lol ... wuff wuff. The scary part is that is could be cancerous and that makes my Mommy cry and I am scared too. Even Daddy is scared but he has Faith that I am going to be Okie Dokie!! Mommy would feel better if she had a lot of people praying for me though. I would ask the same for myself! Thanks so much for praying for me. I will keep you posted on the results of my surgery!! Wuff you all, Zach

Well well I just had my 6th birthday on March 20th, 2009. I cannot believe that my Mom only began my diary now when I have been on Dogster for 2 years! She is busy like everybody else, but she is a special lady, at least for me and for my Dad, (her hubby, lol)!! I got some new stuffed animals for my birthday ... and I know how to open my own presents too. I rip the paper open, and I never eat any of the paper either! I only get the toy out or treat out or whatever Mom and Dad have given me. This year I did not get many treats to open, because I am going through a rather rough time right now. I am having some pretty severe allergy problems and no one knows just yet what all I am allergic to. My Vet, a really nice lady, says I am allergic to Beef. Bummer ... that rules out a lot of treats ya know, yup! Woof ... Now My Mommy & Daddy give me dried pineappple tidbits, and cut up apple pieces, and carrots and green beans for starters. My Vet says because I have these skin problems, I have to stay on my hypo-allergenic diet for probably many months. Until we know everything I am allergic too. She says a vegetarian diet is like a hypo-allergenic diet. So, I get special food & special hypo-allergenic treats, that are biscuits! Oh woof woof! I really don't care much for the carrots unless they cook them. They used to taste much better when they had been cooked with a roast in the crock pot, but now Mommy says I can only have them cooked in water. Yup woof, just plain ole H2O. I like them though. Actually it is a much healtheir diet than those Beggin Strips were. So ya gotta appreciate it. Plus it takes my Mommy and Daddy more time to fix these treats, then to just open a bag. So I know they really love me A LOT!!! And I love them a lot too!! Gotta go for now, so to all my buddies, Have a Great Day! Wuff ya!!
