Arrival Story:
Jessie was found at the local pound a few days after Honey was put to sleep. She'd been a stray and weighed just over 11 pounds when they found her.

Bio:
When she came to live with us, she was an older girl with failing hearing and cataracts on her eyes. The vet said she had a heart murmur, she barked incessantly when left alone and her breath ... whew! But she was as loyal a friend as anyone could ever want. The breath problem we cured. The hearing got worse and eventually the heart problem got to the point she was on daily medication for it. That only postponed the inevitable. Jessie passed away on March 7, 2006, at the age of 15. That's an excellent run for any dog. She was a wonderful girl and there is a huge hole now in the home she left behind.
