Metrosexual Doggie!

Woohoo! Mummy is planning another promotion event! This time she said I'll be the center of attraction! Me and mummy will a LIVE Window Display at Collar + Bone, Chadstone store! How exciting! I'm already in the posters over over town! Its going to be an All Pink theme. I will be wearing a new pink coat! Pink?! I'm still very unsure about that, but mummy says that I'm portraying a Metrosexual Doggie. She will be wearing a very bright pink wig! The theme of the promotion is 'Bring out the Metrosexual Doggie' for the male dogs, and 'Always pretty in Pink' for the female dogs. We will be in the window for two days in the weekend. Hopefully I wont get bored or nervous with so many people staring at me. Mummy says we have to perform tricks in there too! Which means I'll be getting lots of treats! yummy! Can't wait for this weekend! I'll definitely write in another entry and put up more pictures after the event!

Hi all, this is Rooney's mummy. shh.. hes sleeping.. he doens't know I'm putting this entry through because he has no idea what I'm about to write! I just figured it should be in hes diary.
Two weeks ago, Rooney got de-sexed.. yup.. hes no longer "dangling". I was really worried before I sent him in. I even wanted to leave my pjs with him at the hospital so he could smell me when hes alone in the crate, but the nurse told me it was not necessary. I hugged and kissed him goodbye. I passed him onto the nurse and instantly I noticed hes face changed. He had a "whats going on look" All I could do was watch them walk through the swing doors and go home.. It felt weird not having my little monster running around and jumping on my bed. I felt lonely and worried.
The next day took forever to arrive. I brought along a blankie to hug him in, thinking he would be sick and down. I waited in the room with hes daddy.. They took ages to bring my baby out! Finally.. the nurse called us and she said Rooney has recovered really well.. ahh.. my heart eased.. then she carried him out.. I could see through the tiny window.. he stil had That Look on hes face. But the moment he saw me! he went crraaazzzyyyy!!!... He was overjoyed! he couldn't stop wiggling and moving! I couldn't even carry him properly! He was not sick at all in fact, he has no idea what happened to him! The stitches recovered really well, hes still the same old hyper active kangaroo boy. Nope, it did not calm him down one bit. His daddy told me I worried for nothing. He is a tough dog. Well, I guess thats what all mummies are, arn't we? Worried mummies.

Hide and Seek!

Aunty Candice (Gucci's mummy) came up with a new game! She would play it with me and my friend Gucci. She calls it Hide and Seek! Its so much fun! She would make me and Gucci Sit and Stay at a corner. We were allowed to watch as she goes around the room leaving bits of bread behind every little corner, nooks and cranny. Then she give us our release word, "OK!!" And off we go sniffing and seeking for our reward! It's a very exciting and yummy game! Thank you Aunty Candice! *Ask your mummy to play it with you!*

I'm A STAR!

Do we get to go for another doggie event?!! Mummy received a really thick letter from RSPCA and Aunty Candice was really excited! We were hoping it was information about another event we could take part in! Mum opened it and it was the RSPCA’s latest newsletter. She was flipping through it but I couldn’t see anything, so I jumped up and sat on her lap. Suddenly she shouted “OMG! Roo! You’re a STAR!” Me and Mummy appeared in the RSPCA newsletter!! It was a review on the Million Paws Walk event. They took a shot of me and mum performing my best trick! Mummy was so proud she told everyone! Afterwards, I got to go for a walk to Dinkums the copy store where mum made 5 copies.

Million Paws Walk

Mummy is in charge of Events and Promotions at Collar + Bone, so every time there’s a doggie event, she organizes a whole group of people and doggies to join. We attended the most recent RSPCA Million Paws Walk at Albert Park. There were 5 humans and 6 of my friends! Gucci, Rocky, Ariel, Tequila and Paris. We wore and promoted the latest outfits from Collar + Bone!
The walk was 5km but I was still full of energy! After the walk, mummy entered me in the Novelty Dog Best Trick competition. I was very nervous when it came to my turn; the crowd was staring at me. Mummy brought out my yummy treats and my big eyes followed it. Mum told the host I will be performing the Kangaroo Combo!
I sat, shook left hand, shook right hand, then kangaroo! (sitting and begging), and mum put a treat on my nose and told me to stay........... (i tried my best to balance on my kangaroo pose and eye my treat!) Stay........ OK! and I Snap! caught the treat! YUM! the crowd cheered!!! Mummy was proud and I got another treat!
After everyone performed their little trick, the judges announced.. Third Prize goes to.. the little kangaroo jack russell in the blue jumper!!!
YAY!!! we won mummy! we won!!!

Working part-time

Mummy works at a company called Collar + Bone. It is the best store ever! They have gorgeous and amazing dog clothing and accessories. It is indeed a pet lifestyle concept.
I often go to work with my mum. When at work, I'm known as the in-house model. It is really a tough job because I get all these attention from customers! I also get to wear different outfits in the store and flaunt it! I love trying to sniff out other doggies on customer's clothing or shoes. Another best part of my job is that mummy leaves out a small container or yummy treats for all the customers to feed me!
