Gotcha Date: July 20th 2001 Birthday: July 20th 1999 Likes: Maggie & Mommy, Sonic, car rides, scratching my butt on the schrubs, chasing squirrels and birds, checking the girls for TICKS! Pet-Peeves: Late dinner, ear wash/medicine, Mommy not touching me! Favorite Toy: Maggie, stuffed "babies" Favorite Food: Anything edible. Best Tricks: Sit, go to the door, burps, barking for cookies? Arrival Story: Buddy rescued me and his sister Maggie (another Springer). To make a very long story short - he was a blood donor for a vet then went to a family who didn't think he fit in with them very well. I already had one rescue so I reluctantly agreed to go get him and keep him until he was "fixed" and place him in a new home - which I found very quickly. Wrong! The day I brought him home after the procedure we had immediate problems. He was a bleeder! He spent the next 2 weeks in the hospital then 2 more weeks outpatient care EVERYDAY! The poor little fella had lyme disease. It was awful. You would never know today! He is healthy and very wise! Well, needless to say, he never went to THAT home I found for him. He actually knew the whole time he was here to stay. I remember looking at him and saying, "Oh no you don't!" He's thinking, "Oh yes I do!" And he was right. He is the most devoted, loyal companion I have ever known. He was always meant to be here, we are family. Bio: When I talk to Buddy he will cock his head sideways as if he understands every single word I am saying and I think at any moment he will reply. He is such a character, has such an outgoing personality and watches out for his girls (me and his sister). He doesn't want us out of his sight. He is my shadow! God was looking out for all of us when he sent Buddy to us.

For today I am celebrating my Gotcha Day! My Gotcha Day includes the 8th annifursary of coming to live with Mom and Maggie and my 10th Birthday! That got me to thinking of the number 10...
