Been slacking...

Since my baby sister Adora arrived I haven't had much time to have my mom type my journal entries for me. I am usually exhausted from wrestling and running around so much!

Well...what's new...let's see...I've learned the names of our cats now, *especially* Oscar and Gus. Ooh! I just love Gus! He is so fluffy! I really wish he would let me sniff and pet his silken fur. I try to catch him all the time, but he never lets me. And my mom yells and tells me not to bother him. She's no fun at all :(

I'm off to try to steal another one of my mom's saltines!

Another weekend...another visit to the vet!

Last Thursday night my mom gave Adora and me our cornstarch bones that we love so much. Mine was cinnamon and it was tasty! Adora didn't finish hers, so I polished it off for her. To be nice, of course.

Well, the next night I started throwing up 4x's an hour! Yikes! I did not feel so good. I felt really, really, really bad and I felt especially bad when I barfed on my mom's foot in the middle of the night.

I had to go visit Dr. Wu on Saturday. I had to stay ALL day long having x-rays and drinking some yuckky stuff. I guess I didn't chew up the cornstarch bones well enough because they got stuck! When they got stuck it made my pancreas work overtime and made me very sick. I had to have fluids injected under my skin a bunch of times during the weekend. I did not enjoy it at all. In fact, I felt quite sorry for myself until Monday when I started feeling better.

I'm back to normal now, but no more cornstarch bones for me! My mom said biscuits and bully sticks only!

The meanest mom in the world...

My mom took Adora to the dog park today without me. She claimed that she took her to the vet, but I KNOW she took her to the dog park. I might be a dog, but I am not stupid! I could smell the "eau de dog park" on Adora!

My mom promised to take me to doggie daycare tomorrow so I guess I will try to forgive her. I can't believe she doesn't think she can handle me, Adora & my human foster sister all at the same time at the dog park. Weakling...

No girls allowed! And that means YOU, Adora Bull!

My baby sister Adora is so naughty! When my mom gives us treats, I *of course* take mine nicely first, then my bratty sister takes hers.

Well, I always finish my treat first and then I ask Adora, "Wanna split it?" to see if she wants to share her treat. She almost always says "NO", so then...what else am I to do but to take it out of her mouth and devour it all quickly myself? I mean, what other choice does she leave me? Didn't she listen when mom told her that sharing is nice? It's almost as if she doesn't realize that she is the baby and I am the big brother!

Then, sometimes at night, Adora likes to lay with my mom when she falls asleep - which is ok - as long as Adora doesn't touch me! I get so mad! I do my fiercest growl and make a scary face at Adora, and then I tell my mom, "MOM! Adora's touching me!". My mom is usually not nice about it, she just tells me to stop being such a jerk. Ha...as if I were the naughty one. If only my mom knew the truth about that baby...

Prognosis: Good

It seems like the lump from my Rabies vaccine reaction is starting to go away slowly. It doesn't bother me one bit, but I can't figure out why my mom keeps pushing on my hip asking me if it hurts. She's weird. I just want to play!!

I'm adjusting to having Adora around. She's a lot of fun, but I get mad sometimes when she wakes me up or hogs mom and dad. I just make some growling noises, stick her entire head in my mouth (don't worry, I don't bite down!) and voila! Instant compliance from Adora. Most of the time she my very best friend and great to have around. I'm glad my parents got me a baby sister :)


There are bully sticks that need to be chomped on, see ya later!

Rabies vaccine reaction

My mom noticed a lump on my back right hip last week and quickly made an appointment at the vet for me.

I went to see the vet on Saturday and she said that it was a lump caused by a reaction to the rabies vaccine I got about 10 days before. She said that it is basically a localized infection, but it is possible that it will turn in to a painful abscess! My mom is way stressed out about it since she read lots of things about vaccine-related sarcomas (tumors) in cats. But she doesn't know anything about them in dogs...?

A treat for me and a treat for .... yeah, that treat's for- me too!

Yesterday my sister Adora and I went to visit our favorite Bulldog in the whole world, Sherman. Sherman hadn't met Adora yet so he was kind of confused at first, but he and I took off running and wrestling like we hadn't seen each other in weeks. We see each other at Wags & Wiggles dog daycare every Wednesday, but we both like to flirt with fluffy blonde Golden Retreivers there so we don't play as much as when we're alone.

Sherman is my wrestling soul mate. He knows just when to bodyslam me and when to go get a drink :)

Baby sister was obnoxious though! I think she thought Sherman was hurting me, so she barked her head off almost the whole time much to my mom's dismay.

Last night my mom gave us new bully sticks. They must have not been such good quality because I was able to chomp through mine in about 5 minutes. But it was tasty so I stole Adora's bully stick too! She wasn't happy, but I didn't care at the time - I just wanted delicious stinky gross bully sticks! My mom gave Adora another one, and then I chomped through that one too! Adora had a big frown on her face, so I had to lick her and hug her to make her feel better. I think she forgives me now.

Oh well, I'm off to nap again!

One happy boy!

I am such a happy boy! I get to play with Adora every night, I get to go to doggie daycare once a week, I have Meagan living with me, I get to sleep on my parent's bed and snuggle with them, I get yummy raw food and tasty treats. Life is good!

On Saturday my mom said that we're all going to go visit Sherman (the Bulldog - my best pal). I can't wait! My family can't even mention his name around me because I start barking and whining and standing by the door. They try referring to him by a code name...like I don't know who "Mr. S" is, please! He'll get to meet Adora for the first time. I hope they like each other.

I'm off to bed. I'm all tuckered out from wrestling with my baby sister and teaching her all about the delightful tasty treasures in the cat's litterbox. Being a big brother is hard work.

*sigh*

I love Adora!

Did you know that I love my baby sister? I really, really do! My mom was getting worried since I was a little jealous at first, but today I realized that Adora likes to play too!

Adora & I wrestled for 2 hours straight - from the time my mom let her come downstairs to the time my mom made her go to bed we just wrestled our little hearts out. We stopped occasionally to kiss eachother. Adora was getting tired, but I'm not familiar with that concept, so my mom had to drag her away from me.

My mom kept making us take time outs to get water, something about Adora being a bulldog...well, whatever - it just gave me another opportunity to lick Adora's chin :)

I'm Top Dog, why won't anyone listen to me?!?

My baby sister doesn't recognize my authority. I keep shaking my soccer ball on a rope and growling at her to get her to understand what I tough guy I am, but she just doesn't seem to get it. I use my fiercest growl and chase her around the front room but she sassed me back! The very nerve of that little girl...

I'm glad she isn't allowed to sleep on the bed. I'm sure my mom and dad would NEVER allow her up here. They keep her behind a baby gate in the bathroom right now. I think it's because she's mean to me, at least that's why I hope they do it.
