 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 14th 2005
Likes: Riley loves to play with people and other dogs. Anyone that comes in his line of sight is there to pet him. He also likes to play with his barking dog chew toy, sleep in the middle of the bed, and sprawl on the laptop.

Pet-Peeves: Riley *hates* it when things move on their own, or if something falls over when it's not supposed to.

Favorite Toy: his barking dog (although it doesn't bark anymore)

Favorite Food: turkey, hamburger, peanut butter, greenies

Favorite Walk: anywhere with people

Best Tricks: Bang!

Arrival Story: I was looking for puppies in the local classifieds, and found an ad for male Cairns. Riley was the smaller of the two dogs that were left, and I picked him up first. He was a tiny little thing, and so very cute. I remember being totally overwhelmed that this tiny (2.6 pound) puppy was totally dependent on me, but I couldn't wait to spend my life with him.

Bio: At this point, Riley has completed two training classes at Petsmart. I hope that he will be a registered therapy dog, and that he will be able to accompany me to work someday. He is a very sweet boy, who flops on his back any time someone pays attention to him. He loves getting scratches and being snuggled. We recently found out that if you pat his bottom right above his tail, he sticks his head up and licks the air. He likes to see the neighbor animals, Harley (dog) and Tiger (cat). He also likes to go to the local dog park and play with his friend Sabin. He is terrified of my dad's orange cat, and barks/growls at her whenever possible. Riley also likes to chew on things, including computer cords, digital camera equipment, and knitting needles. Riley keeps my life exciting, and I don't know what I would do without him.

Forums Motto: You're here to pet me, right?

I am so tired. I've done so much this week! On Wednesday, I had to go to Petsmart to get a bath (yuck!). On Thursday, I got to go to Miss Kitty's for grooming. I like it there, because I get to run around and play with other dogs before it's my turn to get my hair done. Mommy took me back there on Friday, and said something about how she "didn't like how I looked." What's that all about? I think I look just fine! I didn't catch much of it, but mommy got some money back and I have to go back to the groomers again on Monday. They're supposed to fix my haircut or something. After that stop, I went to see *both* sets of grandparents. First I went to see Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Charles. Grandma Teresa ate a turkey meal for lunch, and I waited quietly for her to finish. She let me lick the fork! I wanted to play with my sister (April), but mommy said I couldn't because I just had a bath. She doesn't like it when I run and get all dirty, especially after she paid the groomers to bathe me. We went to see my daddy's parents for dinner. My Grandma Jean (daddy's mom) kept feeding me turkey for doing all my tricks. I just decided that I would roll over a lot before anyone even told me what to do, because that's when I get my treats anyway. Mommy and I did our daily walk while we were visiting, and we met another Cairn! His name was Patrick, and I really wanted to run and play with him. We tried a little, but our mommies kept talking about the street and how there wasn't a fence. Later, I got to spend the night at mommy's parents' house. Grandpa Charles let me go run with April early in the morning, and I got all wet. I ran around some today, and helped Grandma Teresa hem mommy's pants. I tried to eat the pins, but I wasn't fast enough. After we got home, I snuggled up on the couch with my mommy and took a nap. We love snuggling together. Then daddy came over, and my friends Julie and Jana came, too! I slept while they watched a movie and played games, because I'm so tired from this long week. I think now I'm going to go curl up on a couch pillow and go to sleep. It might've been a busy week, but it sure was fun!
