Arrival Story:
Roxie was given up by her first hooman family after they moved to Illinois and had a baby. I guess she was inconvenient. Shortly after being at a shelter, they determined she had a back problem so perhaps her former owners didn't want to deal with that. I adopted her knowing she had a back problem and needed a special home with someone who had knowledge about back related problems in doxies. I've had her since the end of January 2004. She is the sweetest little thing. A total snuggle bunny. She can also be a total tomboy and a little devil. She takes toys right out of her brother's mouths!!! She rough houses with Oscar and plays dirty by holding onto one of his hind legs until he falls over. Roxie needed back surgery in May of 2005.

In May of 2005 mom formed her company, Dogs In Motion-In Home Canine Rehabilitation & Wellness. We think it should have been called Dachshunds in Motion but mom says that we can not dachscriminate against other dog breeds. We did get our picture on her company's website though. Check us out at

10/4/06: All of us dachshunds helped mom to form the Suburban Chicagoland Dachshund Lovers. There is an online email community that mom is always typing to _Lovers/
and then there are the monthly social get togethers that we get to go to and play with all of our dachshund friends.
