Arrival Story:
Oreo was a rescue from a breeder who was interbreeding dogs in the same families to try to get the border collie personality in a smaller dog body (a "mini" border collie is what they called him). That didn't matter to us, we just fell in love with him the moment we saw him and had to make him a member of our family.
Bio:
Oreo is a bit smaller in height than most border collies. He has developed lupus and an underactive thyroid in his senior years, but that hasn't diminished his spirit. Although he can't outrun rabbits like he did when he was younger (we swore he was flying) he is still the best friend anyone could have. His eyes still twinkle and he communicates better than most humans. Some of his funny traits include snoring so loud that he'll wake you out of your sleep and being the best vacuum around. You wouldn't want to cook without him. He has added so much joy to our lives and has been a real blessing to our family all these years. We love him very much.

I am MAD at mom. Mad, mad, mad I say.
Not only did she bring me to the groomers today, SHE LEFT ME THERE!!!
So what Leilu was with me, I wanted mom.
When she finally came back to get me, I yelled at her but good. Even the groomer busted out laughing because I was howling so much at mom!
Well, now I am back home. Mom gave me a cookie (she knows the way to my heart) and I am not as mad at her anymore.
PS - I do look pretty handsome though if I do say so myself but don't tell mom I said that....

Now here I was getting into the car thinking I was taking a road trip with mom and it turned out to be a visit to Dr. Feldman...again. Yuck. Oh well, had to have that thyroid test to be sure the medicine dosage is still OK.
In the process, the doctor found out that I have an ear infection. Good thing mom took me there, I couldn't figure out why my ear was itching me so much the past few days. Thanks Dr. Feldman for taking such good care of me! I should be all better real soon and then mom can stop worrying so much!
