We got Sissy about 15 months ago from American Brittany Rescue. She was living in Iowa with a wonderful foster Mom Terry, when we went and got her. Since she has been with us Sissy has been a joy to have, she loves her walks, rides in the car, and chasing the birds and squirrels away from her yard. Her sister Melanie is four and both of them enjoy doing things together. Some of Sissy's accomplishments since we got her are getting her own treats from an open drawer and learning to like the water. This is a biggie being a Brittany. Also learning her doggie manners.
Sissy recently turned two years old and so far doesn't show signs of slowing down. Melanie on the other hand is much more laid back and will soon recieve her couch potato status.
For those of you who do not know about the breed these dogs are people dogs, they love being with their owners. Exercise is a must if they get bored that can lead to problems. If you need a hunting buddy this is a great dog, mine do not hunt but know lots who do. Please visit the ABR website if you are looking for a wonderful pet. There is always lots to choose from.
