Loves to lick the rinsed plates as we put them in the dishwasher :-)) Also knows when it's bedtime for us and will climb the stairs and wait for us to close up.

Arrival Story:
We lost our 7-year-old red toy poodle Gracie the year before when she was attacked by our neighbor's German Shepherd. Gracie's 'sister' Babs was already 14, in declining health, and we knew she'd be leaving us soon, too (she did, two months ago). My wife was against getting another dog, as we're close to retirement age and she wasn't sure she wanted to be tied down (this from someone who's owned at least two and sometimes three dogs at a time for the last 35 years!). But when a friend of a friend said her breeder was bringing her puppy down from PA to visit with her, we stopped by. You know what happened - as soon as we saw that little puppy face and realized he was a red toy, we bought him on the spot. Sascha is the funniest dog we've ever had and he's just a joy to have around. He's now an active one-year-old and the best thing about him as far as I'm concerned is that he loves to sleep late every morning instead of getting up at dawn like all the other dogs we've had! I actually have to wake him up when once I'm showered and dressed so he can go outside. What a good boy! :-))
