Puppy Kindergarten

Last night, I went to my first puppy training class. I was really nervous about it, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I'm taking a 6-week course where I will learn basic puppy manners & obedience. Mommy said I need some manners. Mommy wasn't sure I would learn a lot of training, but thought the socialization would be good for me. Boy, was she wrong. I learned how to sit & how to properly walk on a leash. There were mostly big dogs in the class, but I wasn't scared of them. In fact, I had fun teasing them some. When I got home, I was pooped. The trainer gave Mommy some tips on how to break some of my bad habits (like trying to chew her hand off.) She's already been trying them, & they are working like a charm. Guess I'll have to find a new chew toy :(. Next week, we are going to learn how to lay down & roll over. I can't wait.

Bath time......

Well, things are moving right along in my new home. My mommy & I are getting more attached each day. I stay in my crate while she is at work, but I get sooooo excited when she comes home. I'm sleeping in my mommy's bed every night. She gets really frustrated when I wake up in the middle of the night to go outside though. One night, she wouldn't wake up for me, and boy, did I show her. I have an appointment this Saturday to get shampooed & my nails trimmed. Mommy told me it would be like a day at the spa, but I'm having my doubts. ............

My First Day

My first day with my new mommy has been quite an experience. I went to the vet in the afternoon, so I wasn't feeling so good last night. Mommy felt bad for me, so she let me sleep with her last night. I slept the entire night in her hair. Training has been going really well so far. I haven't had any accidents. Of course, I'm staying in my crate during the day, and playing outside lots at night. Mommy is still stocking up on puppy supplies & toys, so I'm learning new things everyday. I'm hoping I can get the hang of this leash thing, so mommy can take me to the park soon.
