What Am I?

Mommy and daddy have been trying to figure out where I get my white paw from. People always have an idea of what breed I'm mixed with, anything from Doberman to Rottweiler to Hound... but Mommy and Ashley are thinking maybe Great Dane because of my huge paws and floppy ears. Mommy first thought Great Danes have pointy ears, but then she saw some pictures of them with floppy ones just like mine...and they were white! So maybe I'm part Great Dane? I have the gentle and friendly personality, not to mention the Great Dane size! It would be interesting to find out for sure what I am, but for now we can only guess!

Adjusted Route

Mommy took me the same route downtown by the little girl's house. Her mommy was sitting on the stoop again and gave me attention when I walked by. Then she called her daughter out to say hello and pet me! My mommy said that this was going to be our usual route from now on so they'd probably be seeing a lot of us, and they told us to come by every day to see them! On the way home we stopped by the boat launch and I got to play in the river. It was so refreshing! Mommy stays on the edge of the water and lets me splash around in it, but one of these days I'm going to end up pulling mommy in with me! hehehe Last night daddy said he should bring my long lead and let me swim in the river so they can be on the edge of the water and I can go play all I want! I love these long walks because I get to meet so many people and other doggies! Mommy loves these long walks because they tire me out and then she gets a few moments of quiet for herself... especially when I go nuts when daddy comes home! hehehe

It's..... ALIVE!!

Just call Mommy Dr. Frankenstein! hehehe Yup, she sewed Ducky back together and turned him into "Franken-Duck". Ducky is missing some fur, his beak, and half his head... but he's still fun to carry around and go nuts on! I still love my Duck!

In other news, we had the longest walk yet... and the best one yet! I hardly pulled on the leash and I made a new friend! We walked downtown and back, and on the way home there was a little girl and her mommy sitting on their stoop by the sidewalk. I wanted to go say hi, and mom told them before we got there I was very friendly and would want to say hello to them. The mommy called me to her and started petting me, and her little girl petted me, too. I made the girl laugh when I gave her puppy kisses! By the time we got back home I was all tuckered out... so tuckered out that I walked up the steps instead of jumping up onto the porch like I usually do! We did twice the distance we normally do in the same amount of time and Mommy said we may have to start walking that route every day if I'm going to be a good puppy on my leash. I can't wait to see where we go tomorrow!

So Sad

I'm not having a very good day today. Last night mommy took my ducky and had to sew his beak to his head because I ripped him. Then this morning daddy took him away from me because I decapitated poor ducky and had his stuffing in clumps all over the bedroom! I couldn't help it! He quacks and is soft and chewy.... I just had to chew and tear on him! But now I don't have him to play with anymore and I'm so sad! First my Scruffy stuffy dog got taken away because I ripped him up, and now ducky! All that's left for me to play with is the balls and the bones, and neither of those things is very soft and comforting! I hope mommy and daddy get me something else to play with soon or mommy can somehow fix ducky so I can play with him again! I miss my squishy stuffy toys!

Car Trip

Mommy and Daddy took me in the car today. We made a couple little stops then we went to Petsmart! Mommy and Daddy talked to some lady about training classes and she said I was very smart and would do well in those. She was happy with how I behaved and how quickly I caught on to some of the things she was showing Mommy and daddy. Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me, too! We looked around the store a little bit and picked up a new bone and some treats, and then my favorite thing of all time.... a ducky! He's furry and quacks when I grab him! hehehe I've been having so much fun chasing him around the house, chewing on him, and making him quack... he's my new favorite toy! I did really well riding in the car today, too. Mommy says I'm doing much better than I was before, and I can't wait to go for another ride soon!

Miss Popularity

We've been walking around the neighborhood for the past month, taking different streets for different scenery and almost always going through the park at some point. I guess all the walks we go on are doing more than giving me and mommy exercise and fresh air, it's getting us well known in the neighborhood, too! We went for our morning walk and there were some people standing out by the road. I wanted to go say hi, and they called me over to come say hi to them! I got lots of attention from the 2 guys while the lady was telling her husband something about her car. One of them even gave mommy some pointers for better controlling me on the leash, but they all said I was so well behaved and so smart and pretty! I like getting all the attention! It seems like there's a lot of dog lovers in our neighborhood, and they all seem to love me, too! Mommy has started calling me Miss Popularity because of all the attention the neighbors give me. Even Grandpa and Aunt Boo love me, and they aren't big fans of dogs! Daddy thinks I'm going to get a swelled head with all the attention I get, but deep down I know he's proud of me for being so good and making such a good impression on everyone! I'm so happy to be living where I am now!
