So far I've learned sit, lie down, and stay. (Although I really prefer NOT to stay anywhere for too long. I get really really bored really really fast!)
Arrival Story:
After our beloved Great Dane died, we began looking for another dog to keep our Greyhound company. I strongly believe in going through rescue organizations or humane societies to acquire my pets, so when my husband said he'd like a Standard Poodle, I agreed as long as it was a rescue. We found Charlie on Petfinder.com, which is a great way to find wonderful pets that need homes. Charlie was rescued from a puppy mill when the owner of the puppy mill died. My husband drove 6 hours to pick Charlie up at the Cedaredge Animal Shelter and bring him to his new home with us. Although we haven't had Charlie for very long, he has already won a place in our hearts!
Bio:
Charlie has been to a beginning obedience course, and we've been working hard with him on the basic commands. We are going to take a refresher course starting January 2007, and then I hope to get him involved in Agility classes or Pet Therapy.

much everything. When it's time for a treat, he's been known to throw up both paws and fall over backwards.

Today Mom dropped me off at Lucky Dog Doggie Day Care. I LOVE Lucky Dog. I run and play and play and run ALL DAY long! I love to play with the other dogs and the squeakie toys. Mom and Dad say they need to take me here once a week to release some of my puppy energy! I've been trying really hard to show them that I have extra energy EVERY day, so that maybe they'll take me to Lucky Dog more often. So far it hasn't worked, but I'll keep trying!
