The Spoiled First Born

What a trip!!

Friday afternoon mommy got out my harness and leash and told me that we were going for a car ride. At first, I was a little nervous that we were going to go to the V-E-T, but she assured me we were going to have fun. So, me, mommy and mommy's friend got in the car and took a trip to... um... what was the name of it....... oh yeah! Petco! We got out of the car and it was a store that even I could go into! They let dogs and other animals in this store... There's even some animals that live there until they find a nice family. Wow. I could hardly believe it. A woman came up to me and tried to pet me once, but I was a little scared. I hid behind mommy and wagged my tail for a second, then I stuck my nose out and licked the new person's hand. She seemed ok. But then she left, and I got kinda sad. I barked at this big box that ran on wheels... I don't like things on wheels. Then the woman came back with, get this, (I know you're not going to believe me, I can hardly believe it myself), dog treats! She had treats that tasted like chocolate chip cookies! Mommy never gives me cookies, so I was sooooo excited. Then she said she had to get back to work. I got more treats from a nice man, saw a new dog and got to pick out a pack of new toys. I picked out lots of squeeky toys. :) Then I sniffed of a dog treat buffet, and mommy got a bag and picked out some treats for me and my sisters. I played with lots of people and got a bouncy ball and treats and squeeky toys and.... Well, I would have gotten more toys if mommy hadn't bought stuff for that stupid hamster... What does she need stuff for? All she does is sleep and eat. I could have played with toys better... *sigh* In the end, we went back home and I took a long nap. I can't wait to go back again!
