 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: August 9th 2005
Likes: To be hugged and kissed

Pet-Peeves: Trucks, loud voices and cats on Phil's lap

Favorite Toy: Anything Willough is playing with

Favorite Food: Paper (bad boy!)

Favorite Walk: Around the RV park

Best Tricks: He can speak, and I don't mean bark

Arrival Story: We were sent an email by Phil's mom, Paula, who saw this little guy on the rescue website where she adopted her dog, Coco. She knew we were looking for a black, male pug to keep our pug, Willoughby, company while we are at work. His story was a sad one: he was found wandering the streets of Albuquerque, with his left eye popped out of his head. The kind woman who picked him up rushed him to the vet, but it was too late to save his eye. He was in pretty bad shape, but thanks to the Quixote Rescue Group, he came to us a happy and well-adjusted little boy.
We were very lucky to get him. The rescue had never adopted out of their area before, and the fact that we're full-time RV'ers didn't help our case. But they listened to us about our situation and how we give Willoughby a great life and they visted Willoughby's website on Dogster, and decided we'd be a good family for Diablo (what they called Xander).

Bio: We don't know how old Xander is. The best guess by the rescue is that he's around 9 months old. But we got him on August 9, 2006, so that's what we made his birthday (only I put the year as 2005, since he's not a wee pup).

Forums Motto: Love me!

You can call me Captain Xander. Check out the cool bandana my grammies got for me! We tried to get the eye patch to stay on to complete the outfit, but we just couldn't do it. But it was delicious. Hee hee. Just kidding. I wasn't allowed to eat it.
Things have been going great for me. I'm back in Albuquerque, so that's neat. Actually, I guess we're in Rio Rancho, but I get to go into Albuquerque to visit with my cousins Chamissa and Coco, so that's close enough.
But life is good. It's been very uneventful lately, but I'm sure that will change very soon when we head for Alaska in April. I can't wait. I have to get my passport yet. I'd better go and do that. If you're looking for more exciting doggie sagas, check out my Cousin Tohbi's page. He sure does have some good times.

I'm a fair-weather dog, no bones about it. It snowed here the other day, and it was the first time I had ever been in snow before in my life! I didn't even want to go down the steps to go outside in the morning. And then my feet were soooooo cold, I had to stop every couple steps to sit down and lick my feet. Then my butt got cold, so I had to get back up. I just didn't know what to do.
My sis, Willoughby, seems to really like the stuff. She was running around like a maniac and trying to attack me and get me to play in it. I compromised with everyone by eating a bit of it. That was ok. I just don't know. I think I'll be happy to get back to Albuquerque and thaw out a bit.

Life is good. My new family is the best, even if I do have two cats to put up with. Ah, who am I kiddin'? I love those cats. They're fun to chase. I should be worrying a bit more about my one good eye 'cause they still have their claws, but I just can't help picking on them. That's what cats are for, I say.
I did get into a bit of trouble the other day. My folks had left me out of my crate because I'd been really good with the housetraining, and they came home to a disaster area. Now, I didn't go potty in the house or nothin' but Willoughby and I had a great time ripping up some pillows, tore at the couch, ate a Sharpie and got ink all over the couch cushion and blanket, tore out the belly of the stuffed moose my mom had mistakenly left out...you know, normal dog stuff. So it's back to the crate for me until they can trust me again. But that's ok with me. That day was fun, fun, fun!!!
