Arrival Story:
Ray was born with hydrocephalus and a misshapen head due to birth trauma. He has only one eye, and is totally blind. He had seizures for hours at a time. His breeder brought him to my vet to be put to sleep when he was 5 weeks old, but my vet nurse and vet saw through his problems to his incredible spirit underneath, and helped this little fighter stabilize and grow. When he was 9 weeks old I adopted him.

Ray still had frequent seizures but when he reached his adult weight we were able to start medication which has helped a lot. He runs and plays, can find his way anywhere, and plays with his box of toys. He even takes his tennis balls, drops or shakes his head and lets them fly, listens to where they drop and chases after them. He is a happy happy boy and brings joy to all of us.

We have been away from Dogster for awhile because Mom took her computer to work but now we are back. While we were gone my big sister Charleigh died in September and my brother Baxter died in March. We have all been very sad and miss them a lot. Also, my Mom shares Betty with our aunt Ellen and she is living with her for awhile, so there are only 2 of us..me and Natalie..at home now. Mom does like to foster, though, so we have a Golden named Wisdom for 2 weeks..she is old and nice..and a 3 month old puppy Mom just calls PupPup. Mom will put her in Dogster soon..
