 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 5th 2006
 Likes: To Snuggle!!!!

Pet-Peeves: When Bailey (or the kitties) don't want to play with her

Favorite Toy: She loves all of her toys- she puts them into a big pile and rolls around in them

Best Tricks: I was trying to teach her a simple "shake" when she rolled over, so we went with that!

Arrival Story: We came across Ravin's profile on the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue website and instantly fell in love with her little face. Given her serious medical condition, we weren't sure if we could emotionally handle taking care of her surgery and nursing her back to health. We applied to various rescues and quickly received a call from Ravin's foster family who informed us that she had emergency surgery, even though not nearly enough donations were made to cover it, because otherwise she would have been dead in a matter of days. The great news was that it had been 3 weeks and that she was doing wonderful. We drove 3 hours to visit her and let Bailey meet her and decided she was the dog for us! She will still need lots of love and medical attention, but we're ready to provide her with anything she needs (ok, AND everything she WANTS too!).

Bio: Here is a little info on Ravin's health issues (copied from her original petfinder ad placed by the MWBTR):
She was born on May 5, 2006. She is a typical puppy. She runs, plays, and gets into lots of mischief. However, Ravin is in need of medical help. When Ravin was born, she was born her anal tract did not open. Therefore, she urinates and poop's through her vaginal area. Because of this problem Ravin can only eat soft food. Sometimes she needs help when going to the potty. Then she has to be wiped in order to keep her bottom clean. This is painful and makes her easily prone to infection. To correct the problem, Ravin would have to go to a specialist who would reconstruct the area so she will have an anal opening.

I like to eat, what can I say?! They don't feed me as much food as I want because, well something about this new poop shoot of mine. Anyway, Monday night I really got to show my family how much I CAN eat!!! Daddy fed all of us and ran outside to grab something, for about four minutes I was alone, and in that four minutes I got into Bailey's food and ate so much I gained 2 1/2 lbs and over 2 inches in my tummy! Mommy and Daddy freaked out (haha, they didn't know that I got into Bailey's food! I'm so sneaky!) and took me to the emergency doctor. I got an x-ray which sold me out because they "thought" there was no way I could be so bad, not little ole me! They thought it might be something from my condition, but I fooled them! I feel bad though because Mommy fought tears the whole way to the doctors. In the end, after one more doctors appointment in the morning, my parents had to fork over a lot of money that could have went towards some new toys. They say I'm lucky I'm so cute.
