We had wanted to get a friend and another dog for our family and our present dog Kona. We were looking for something smaller, so we could walk them together, and i found a rescue group that had her , and went to the local Pet Land store to see her. She was cute, lovable and really liked us and we liked her. She had lived with a disabled woman who couldn't give her enough attention or excersize, she seemed unhappy she said.
She has been with us 2 days and so far it has been great. She is 9 1/2 months old, housetrained, cratetrained and we want to teach her some tricks or take her to agility training after obedience training is finished. We know that Rat Terriers are great at agility training, and i think she would like it.

Hey all , it's me Kiarra,,,,well I have been living with my family for almost 1 year now,,,I was adopted by them last August at Pet Club where they found me at this great rescue group adoption day. The mom and her 2 kids came and they were looking for me, because they had found me on the internet quite by accident when searching for local animal rescue groups.
Well of course they fell in love with me, I am a cutie. My best friend is Kona, who they already owned before me, she is 4 and we play all day long. We start each morning with a long 4 to 5 mile walk with our favorite human in charge. Then we play , get yummy treats, and fling all our different toys around in the air and play tug of war. I have a dog bed in just about every room of the house too. I have been on many trips to the beach,,and my humans learned that if they put me in the crate I get sick.. so the human in charge now holds me in her lap, on the way to the beach, with my leash on of course. I like it cause I can see everything on the drive.
I also finally stopped digging and chewing things,,, I am way more interested in my toys and treats. I even get left to sleep on the couch when the humans go out to dinner or for a swim. That's so nice and cozy for me...and guess what is really awesome,, I sleep in one of the little humans rooms every night,,, underneath all the covers , right by her feet,,,and Kona,,,, well she sleeps on top of the covers right next to me.....this is the life,, and I have to say I am soooo very happy.....you know I even caught a rat and brought it inside to show my humans,, they didn't like that too much,, but they were kinda glad cause the rats were eating their oranges....well those rats are gone now...thanks to me!!!! I'll write again soon,, right now I am too busy snoozing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!xoxoxox Kiarra
