We tested Belle for food allergies, so she's now on Duck & Potato dry and wet, with some beef snacks now and then.

Favorite Walk:
All around the yard: under the tree bench, down the fence line to see her doggie neighbors, around the garage, past the garden, around the shed, through the flowers, across the driveway, down the front sidewalk, then the patio and back up the stairs!

Best Tricks:
Tossing & flinging tiny stuffed toys in the air, sitting for treats, rolling over for belly rubs, looking adorable!

Arrival Story:
While visiting Florida, I answered an ad online for an 8 year old, 4 1/2 pound Chi who needed lots of love, and a mommy to care for her who could give her lots of attention. I had been looking for another Chi for a year and a half. Belle's owner, who was a wonderful lady in her 80's, had passed away and her family felt they couldn't care for Belle the way Chi's need to be doted on.....so we brought Belle home the end of July '06! Belle is a sweet, devoted, precious little girl who loves being cuddled and enjoys lots of interaction with people. She seems to be particular about which other dogs she likes though... She adjusted remarkably well to her new routine and seems to love everything! We are so lucky to have found her and blessed that her original family let Belle become part of ours!

Bio:
Belle is very attached to being with people, so she goes to work with me each day and has become my art classes' mascot! She also goes to the dry cleaners, library, post office and on other errands in her little carrier. As of March 2007, Belle became a certified Therapy Pet with our local chapter "Pets on Wheels"! We visit a nursing home and Belle has her own 'business' cards that we pass out to people who love spending time with her. She is a celeb wherever she goes! Belle has also hosted a Chihuahua Party for all her friends she has met in the past 2 years. There were 7 Chi's in all having a great time meeting each other and running in our yard while their humans enjoyed a light summer dinner outside on the patio. Belle has another favorite person in her life: Uncle Bryant! He has stayed with her once and she hopes for more of the same. It could be that he sleeps and snuggles just as much as she does!!!
