Arrival Story:
Early in 2006, the D-Squad became the D-Duo, minus one Great Dane (Dutch) and one Dachsie (Dewey). Dandy became a very lonely girl with nobody to chase and wrestle with. She started becoming rather pushy about getting attention, so Dandy's mom decided she needed an outlet to vent all her excess energy...and that's when she started to look for a new little brother. In March of 2006, she stumbled on Animal Allies of Texas and found there a piebald dachsie pup who needed a home. His name was "Buddy" and more than a few people found his adoption snapshot charming and cute. After a few conversations with Puppy Daddy and AAT, Doogie (formerly known as the pup named Buddy) came home to live with the D-squad.

Bio:
AAT guess-timated Doogie to be about 6 months old, but a vet check up following his adoption said that he still had all his baby teeth, so he had to be younger than originally guessed. We think he's around 4-5 months old when he came home, so we set his birthday in November 2005. Also, it turns out he's less Dachshund and more "breed unknown" since his ears tend to stand up, his legs and fur are definitely longer, and his head doesn't possess the characteristic look of a Dachsie head. He is definitely more playful and bouncy than your average dachshund and we love him all the more dearly for it!

Doogie doesn't mind baths because he's a big fan of towel drying, that's why he loves going to Dirty Dawgz.
