Arrival Story:
I just picked Duchess up today (8/13/06). She has been at a city shelter for too long and was up for euthanasia over a week ago. All of our rescue group's foster homes are full, but since Rowdy was adopted today, I decided to go pick her up. She's a really sweet dog and LOVES to go on walks. She was panting and panting and needed to rest frequently, but each time we started walking again she was just as excited as when we first left the house. I gave her a bath after I took these photos, but she looks pretty much the same. I like her coat color because it's similar to Henna's. 11/5/06: Duchess got a new mom and dad today. They came into Petsmart just to buy cat litter but were stopped in their tracks when they saw Duchess. They said she looks just like their dog who died 5 years ago. They knew they had to take her home.
