Arrival Story:
I was from a neighbor's litter of 10 pups. Mom first saw me before leaving on a birthday weekend trip, then couldn't forget about me! When she came back to town, the neighbor gave me to her, and we've been together ever since. Mom was excited to get her first ever puppy to raise, and read a lot of books to try and do things right. In spite of her efforts, I was known as "Devil Dog" for a while, but as I grew, I quickly learned how to behave. My grandmother (Princess), father (Hector), and brother (Toby) all lived within two houses of us for a while, but when I was one, we moved to a new house.
Bio:
I used to be more active, but I'm a little slower now. My mom found out I had hip dysplasia when I was one year old. We went to a specialist, but decided not to have a surgery. So far, I'm doing fine taking my hip joint supplements, but sometimes I wish I could go on a long hike like I used to! I still love to swim when I get the chance. My brother Boris sometimes pesters me, but I love him anyway. We play a lot and I even let him eat out of my bowl when he wants to!

Now that the weather is finally tolerable here in Texas, I am enjoying my cool mornings on the patio. Sometimes I survey my domain, sometimes I patrol and bark at passing strangers, and sometimes I just sack out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. For a fuzzy Belgian Sheepdog, this is definitely the best time of year! Have a happy Thankgiving! Love, Sasha

This is the weather that a Belgian Sheepdog living in Texas waits for all year! It's much cooler in the morning, and I love to just lie on the patio, looking out into my yard. Mom lets me stay out longer because she knows how much I love Fall! Dad is taking Boris an me for walks almost every day, but not so much when it rains. It doesn't matter though, since I can always fit in a nice nap instead!

Mom feels bad that she hasn't posted an entry on my page for quite some time now. It's funny that she thought Austin was hot last summer, since this year was far, far worse. We had many days over 100 degrees this past summer (and almost broke the all-time record) and we're still in a serious drought. NOT good weather for an "old lady sheepdog"! But in spite of the weather, I'm doing well. Dad has been taking Boris and me out for walks almost every day in the morning and we like the chance to sniff around our neighborhood. I may be an old lady, but I can still smell (and mark) like a young pup! I hope to be going strong for a few more years!
