I'm growing up so fast!

WOw, my mom and dad keep saying how big I'm getting! I'm finally making the grand switch-er-oo from those yucky potty pads to the outside! YEAAH, GO ME!!! And I have this new personal trainer named Anthony that comes once a week to whip my little butt into shape. Right now I don't really know what's hitting me, but pretty soon I'll get used to it and be so well behaved! Anthony has done a terrific job with me so far, and even though I don't really wanna admit it, I secretly like going to "school" and learning. It makes me feel like I have a purpose to my life (well, that is other than "killing" all my toys, of course...).

I went to my first Doxie meetup last Saturday and got to meet 8 other dogs like ME!!!! 3 of them were 12 week old puppies. They were super cute! The rest of the dogs were pretty cool. (Though I got in a little bit of trouble cause I kept trying to "jump" on all the girls... Not sure what that's all about...?)

Anyways, life's going just great for me. I hear mom and dad still talking about getting a playmate for me once I'm all trained. I think they're going to get a Westie puppy like my step-brother Flash. Wow, how cool will that be?!?! And we get to move into the townhome soon. I wonder what I'll think of my new digs... Hmmm, we'll see.

Doxies, doxies everywhere!

I got to go play with 4 other doxies today! How much fun is that! My friends Emmy and Jack (two long haired doxies) just got a new brother and sister. Their names are Issy and Ralph. They look a lot like me but they're super duper soft! (And I thought I was soft...) They're both red short hair dapples and the same age as me - 7months. Issy has a brown nose tho - it's pretty cool. They're both really fun and neat. I'm so lucky to have doxies around to play with! It makes me want a brother or sister of my own. I've overheard Mom and Dad talking about maybe getting another dog when they move out of the apartment into the townhome. Keep your fingers crossed for me, kay!!?

My First Night

Hey guys!

Guess what, I made it through my first night in the crate and I didn't cry or whine or ANYTHING! I'm such a good pup! My Mom and Dad love me so much. They play with me all day and take me out for a gazillion walks. I used the potty outside for the first time this morning. They were super excited and proud of me. I don't exactly understand why yet, but that's ok.

I'm having so much fun here. It's SO much better than that stinky shelter!!!!

I'm home!

Hey everyone!

Turns out I got picked up from the shelter early! I'm so happy! My sister got picked up the other day and Mom and Dad felt so bad about me being there all alone that they came and picked me up early. On the way home we got to stop at Pet Smart. Mom ran into someone she knows there and I met a girl! She's a chihuahua (sp?) named Luna. I really liked meeting her. Now they're trying to "potty train" me, which I don't really get yet. And then they put me in this thing called a "crate". It's alright, I guess. After a few minutes it starts to make me upset tho. Eh, I supooooose I'll get used to it. Maybe.

I'm gonna go stay with Michelle while my Mom and Dad are in Mexico. She has two other Dachshunds, so I'll be in great hands! I'm very excited!!!!! :D

My one blue eye.

After some research on the net and talking to another Dachshund pup's mom on here, I think my mom finally found out why I have one blue eye. She thinks I am a red dapple. My sis and me both have some dark spots on our backs. I also have some white on my chest. It's very becoming, let me tell you. Also, after further inspection my sis has some blue in her eyes as well. If anyone has any other ideas on this, let us know! All we know is that I came from a breeder. The people who first got us were allergic and turned us into the shelter (hard to believe, huh?!). At least I have a good home now! :)
