I've Been On Dogster Since:
Wow, I can't believe it's been 3 whole years! Well, 2 with my mom and dad. Two years ago today they adopted me from Animal Friends. That was the happiest day of my life, even though at the time I was terrified. I grew to love them though, and now I can't imagine my life without them! Tonight I am crossing my fingers that they take me to the local doggie ice cream place, Kip's, for a birthday treat! ;)
Now I'm about to partake on my biggest adventure yet -- moving! I'll finally have my own yard, all to myself, with no other dogs and their various bodily functions around! Yay for me!
Boy, if I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times...I hate winter! It snowed a bunch this year just like last. I can't wait until it is warm out because I want to run, run, run! I have had a good year, though, since last time I wrote. First of all, it is really something that I can even write at all because I aint got no thumbs! I've taken over the futon in the office and the ottoman in the living room since my last entry. It is nice to have my own places to relax all day...stupid humans...by next year I'll have the couch and a spot at the kitchen table. I've also learned a few new tricks this winter! "Go slow" means I have to walk right beside Dad real slow, and "Pound it!" means I give a nose bump, kinda like a "high five" with my nose. Mom and Dad thinkit is funny, so I humor them. I usually get a carrot if I do it- and I am not too proud to beg! Oh yeah! I got a new Pete toy in the mail the other day! Pete is a tiny hedgehog that squeeks when I eat 'em. I usually surf the web while Mom and Dad are at work, and had finally saved up enough money from my part-time job sorting bolts, so I ordered a new Pete! Mom and Dad were pretty surprised to see a box waiting on the doorstep when they got home last week!
That's about all I know right now. I will write more when I have time (this entry took 4 hours because again, I aint got no thumbs!)
The temperature here in Pittsburgh has been in the single digits for quite a while now. We've had snow on the ground for weeks, and just the other day it decided to lay down a layer of ice over the whole thing. The problem is, my paws freeze if I'm out for more than just a few seconds!!! Mom & Dad bought me these really great snow boots so I could stay out longer, and they sure do help...when they stay on! I can't wait for summer. I am looking forward to running on the trail, playing in the park, and going to visit Grandma and Grandpa and playing in their huge yard! I also love laying on the deck in the sun, but you can't do that when the wind chill is below zero (even though I still ask to do it!) Not to mention, I need to lose these 4 pounds I've put on over the winter. Things are looking up...I just heard the birds chirping for the first time in a long time...Spring is just around the corner!
