Arrival Story: Killer is finally home! I (Killer's mommy) have been looking into getting a small dog for several years - originally I wanted a Boston Terrier - but then I realized that I wanted a dog with more hair, and a little smaller. I looked and looked - a Yorkie and Maltese were too small (less than 5 pounds) though I loved them, I looked at the westie, but thier personality I didn't think would be a good fit - then I read about the silky. They have beautiful fur - but the maintanence is a little less than other long hair breeds, and they don't shed (nice!) and they get a little bigger than yorkies - I found the best bread. And I have always enjoyed the spunky terrier nature. The rest is history :-) Bio: I was bred to be a pet (not show) with Stacy and Josh - you can see other pup they have available here. So - since we are working out the whole house breaking process (pshaw! I don't see why I can't go where ever I want, it isn't like I make a BIG mess) she has been gating me in the entry area.
Silly mommy! She used a BABY gate - like that is going to stop me! Oh, it took me a few days to get the courage to scale that gate - but I did it! and I had free run of the house yesterday and last night.
Though I did hear mom and dad talking about using the big dog crate (they also call it Shadow's old crate) until they can get a better gate. I don't really like that idea much.
I am enjoying being with my new mommy! Though she just wants to cuddle with me, and I want to fight and pounce! The big dogs are scared of me - every time I pounce on them they run the other way - I know it is because I am so fierce looking, but for some reason Daddy calls the other dogs wimps.
I am so excited - but I am scare too ~ because I have to take a plane trip to get to my mommy, that makes me so nervous.
She will be picking me up late (almost 11pm! that is late for my mommy) on the 9th and we will finally be together.
She says she is excited too - she has been buying some things to be ready, like my bowls, they are so cute, and say prince at the bottom, so everytime I finish eating I will see yet again that I am a prince! She also picked up a comb and brush for my daily grooming, and of course puppy pads, to help me learn where to go potty.
Killer will be coming home on September 9th - right at the same time we move into our house and get our dogs and cats all back home! We are getting another new addition beside Killer - but I don't have his picture yet - JD is my sisters dog - but Jeremy loves him, and offered to take him - so we are going to have a regular zoo!
