I've Been On Dogster Since:
Today it was really hot out and I didn't even want to go outside. I was perfectly content sleeping on the top of the couch. Then I heard Mom telling Dad that it was time. Okay, I was curious. I followed Dad and Mom outside. Mom jumped into that big thing of water and Dad picked me up. The next thing I knew Mom was holding me in the water! At first she just held me and walked around in the water. Then she put more of me in the water until just my head was out! I started moving my legs as fast as I could to get over to the steps but Mom held onto my belly. She told Dad that I paniced and wasn't that great of a swimmer. Well, yeah!! What did she expect?? She said we would do it again unitl I become a good swimmer. I don't know about it but if it gets me to those ducks, I'll do anything!
Mom and Dad asked me if I wanted to go for a "car ride" this evening. Do they even have to ask? It was sort of a long ride - I heard them saying to each other how spoiled I am. Anyway, when we pulled in, I knew exactly where we were! I jumped out and ran as fast as I could to the lake. Daddy says that I'm in "Moose Gear" when we are there. I can't help it, I have to pull Mom along, she doesn't go as fast as I want her too! Now I've seen other dogs swimming in the lake so I told myself that this was the day. I'm gonna get in the water and chase those ducks. So, I hopped down where the stream goes into the lake and started running in the water after those ducks. Well, it started getting deeper and my paws were not feeling the ground anymore! Okay, so I started to panic a little bit and went over to the side and tried to jump out. Only I couldn't jump high enough. Mom had to help me out. Mom and Dad laughed at me and told me I need doggie paddle lessons. I'll do it if it will just get me closer to those ducks!
