The life of a trouble maker

HOLY MAC!

It has been exactlly ONE year since I wrote in this diary. Today is my THIRD birthday. I am such a big girl. It has only taken me this long to learn a lot of the things mom and dad probably wish that I had learned my first year with them. My hair should probably stop changing color too now that I am three. I was as black as black can be when my parents brought me home, now my back has faded to a silvery-black. Luckily, my ears have stopped growing too, I hope!

My birthday wasn't the greatest. Mom played with me a little extra tonight, but there was a lot to get done around the house. She was making a lasagna for her and her friends tomorrow night, so I just stood under her feet, eating up whatever she dropped on the floor (which is a lot if you have never seen my mom cook!). Dad had to stay out of town for work eventhough he figured he would be home to celebrate. I got some snap peas in my supper tonight, which was delicious!
Dad said when he comes home that he will take me to my favorite store on the weekend and let me pick out a treat. Yay!

I am going to hanker down for the night, I am pooped. Mom has some birthday snuggles for me...bark at ya next year!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I am two years old today. I just graduated from my "around town manners" class yesterday and might be starting agility next week!! So far I haven't gotten any presents, except dad gave me one early lastnight. It is a squeaky hamburger and I love it so much. I know there are more presents waiting for me but mom is waiting until dad gets home from work to give them to me, but that won't be until LATE!!
I am not doing anything exciting for my birthday, both mom and dad had to work so I had to sleep in my kennel all day. I supose I got the beauty rest that a two year old needs!
Mom also started putting my leash and harness on when I eat supper. I am still on my diet so come supper time I am starving. My trainer thought that making me wear the harness and leash while mom is making my food and while I am eating will help me get over my anxiety and start associating the leash and harness with good things! I still get really stiff whenever I wear the harness and I hide when mom pulls out the leash. I don't know why, but it is so scary to me and always has been! So far there really is no difference, mom has done this three times already and I still hate the darn things, so much that I won't even get up to eat my food that smells so good and I know will make my tummy feel so great. Mom really hopes this works though because she feels like everytime we go for a walk she is punishing me or something. This isn't true though because I love going for walks once we get going. I just wish that darn harness and leash wouldn't get in my way.

Princess Porker

Hi, my name is Rudy and apparently I am getting fat. My grandma has been telling mom for awhile now that I have a waddle in my walk. Mom just thought I walked funny. Today mom picked me up from the groomers and the lady asked if I had been eating more treats lately!! Mom gasped and laughed. Now I am on a diet!! The nerve!! My groomers have a great sense of humor and they typically tie a hankerchief around my neck after getting groomed. Well, today I came home wearing the "porkerchief". Pleasantly plump little piggies and the words oink oink oink wrapped around my neck. Grr, this diet is going to be horrible!!
