Arrival Story:
We adopted Sheba from Pets and People in Oklahoma. We saw her Bio on the internet and wanted to meet with her. We had Teddy, our 15 year old Miniature poodle, and We had to get someone who would respect and look out for Teddy. She was PERFECT!! She and Teddy got along the way we wanted them to. She knew Teddy was old and she would wait for him to go throught the door before she did. She's a wonderful and obedient little girl. When we got Dusty, she did the same thing. She lets him go first through the door. She is also amazing with our chickens. She would herd them back into the chicken coop at nght. When we got baby chicks, she would herd them back into into their cage too. What a remarkable "mother". If there were 20 chicks, and 3 got away, she would go hunt them down and bring them all back together. When we got Two Socks, she would carry him around in her mouth. She has been a wonderful addition to our family.

Bio:
Hi, I'm Sheba. I'm 5 yrs old, but I act older for my age. I am like an old mother hen. I know mom and dad got me to keep an eye on my brother Teddy. He went to the Rainbow Bridge on Oct 15 2004. I know mom and dad miss him...I do too. SO now I watch after my other brothers - Dusty and Two Socks. When mom and dad got Two Socks, I thought "Great !!! A playmate!!" He has grown to love me and I love him very much too. Sometimes, Two Socks acts like he's so snobby, but that's because he's a CAT. I like to play with the chickens and baby chicks too. I never hurt them, because I know mom and dad wouldn't want me to. But they let me have my fun with them. When Dusty came into our family, I finally had someone I could mother. I let him climb all over me, and sometimes he gets a little too rough for a little one. But, we still have fun, and I know I have to be gentle with him because he is much smaller than I am.
