My Diary
Goodbye TeddyMay 17th 2011 11:55 am[ Leave A Comment ] Our little Teddy passed away this past Veterans Day 2010. He's always had health problems that many, many vet visits just could not correct. We loved him and will miss him.
New big sister!!!October 27th 2006 9:31 am[ Leave A Comment ] Well, I gotta say, so far I'm not to happy about this intruder in my house. She does seem to be really sweet but I can't let her know I think that. She has to learn that I am the alpha male in this house. I have to admit, she hasn't growled or barked at me. I growl at her though, just to let her know who's the boss. I'm probably gonna act tough for a few more days though. I'll let you know how it's goin'. Bye, Teddy

![]() He had a lot of health problems. The breeder thought he had allergies but, over the next two years as we fought to get him healthy, it turned out he had many more issues. He had massive ear infections and bad teeth. A skin problem that left him smelling bad. Like he'd rolled in something dead. We bathed him about twice a week to keep the smell bearable. We fell in love with the little guy. He so needed to be loved and to be the only dog in the household. Two weeks after we got him, we moved and he got startled and jumped off the stairs from halfway up and broke his leg. He was in casts for three whole months. He was so brave. He never even cried. Anyway we finally got him all well. It turned out the smell was from some kind of infection covering his body. It made little bumps that itched relentlessly and of course the smell. We got that healed. He's gotten nine teeth pulled to date, his ears are all better and he's finally a healthy dog. For the first time he's actually learning how to play now that he's no longer in pain. He follows me everywhere. His favorite place is in his bed. We have a large bookshelf headboard and he has his pillow on there and he loves to sleep. We went camping in July and took him with us. He was a good camping dog as long as we carried him everywhere. He's tiny. Only 5 pounds. Anyway, we are devoted to him and to giving him a good life now. He is the king of our house. We love him.
