Yesterday I tried lure coursing, and I am a very fast runner. When I am a year old I will start running for real. Until then I will just practice. Friday I went to the beach with Bakari and made a lot of new friends. I accidentally went wading a couple of times, but Mom wouldn't let me go in the ocean. At least not until I can pass a swimming test! Today we had a morning hike
at Garland ranch, it was full of good smells, and I even chased some birds into the bushes. Boy, I am tired. It's good tomorrow is Monday and Mom has to work, THANK GOODNESS, she is wearing me out.
The good news is that I haven't chewed up any more shoes, so maybe my name won't end up being Shoeman after all!
Apparently I got a present today, it's called an "outfit". Guess more photos will be on the way!

My Tail of Devotion for Rafiki

I am a small dog with a big name, Squawcreek's Jabari Ti-Rafiki, but my job is to fill a large hole in my family's heart. Just before I came Mom's lead dog Kiwi died. She was Kissy's Mother, and they said Kissy was wild with grief. She broke down a door, chewed up lots of stuff, howled for days, and got very
skinny because she wouldn't eat. She even broke off some teeth and broke off toe nails. Mom was worried that she would have to join Kiwi because the behavior lady's medicine didn't even help except to make Kissy sleep all the time. So for a last chance Mom got me. And I'll tell you that I don't have any idea what all the fuss was about. Kissy started washing me and carrying me around and telling me what I could, and couldn't do from the moment she saw me. She is my new dog Mom, and she plays with me all the time! They say things have returned to normal around here. But I don't know about that,
it has always seemed good here!
Anyway my name means valliant little friend, because I was brought here to be Kissy's friend. But I also have another sister and brother here. And we are one happy family.
Mom calls be handsome and takes me everywhere for people to see if I am or not. So far I have been at three shows, and I got three first place ribbons. The ribbons are not fun, I can't even chew on them, but I also get a new toy each time and that is the best! And I love all the people that stop to look at me, and pet me, and they even give me treats, so I think the show life is for me!

This is a special Tail of Devotion
