Arrival Story:
I wanted a dog to both enrich my life and save theirs. So I made plans to go to the CACC, the kill shelter run by the City. Because I'd been there before and know how overwhelming it can be, I checked their website for offsite events. There was a mobile van on the way so I stopped by. She was in a cage there and I bypassed her (she had her head down and wasn't paying attention) because she was the biggest dog there and wasn't planning on getting a huge dog. But then she looked up and kept looking at me everytime I mentioned being interested in the dog right next to her. She mentally made me take her out of the cage for a walk and that was all she wrote... I took her back to the shelter so they could verify her behavior around cats, which was as I imagined- spectacular! I took her home on the spot, which is good, because the poor girl got kennel cough during the first week she was there. I took her home on her 8th day. I was so sorry that I couldn't take the other dog I really liked too. But Faith was the one!

Bio:
I found out by talking to the former owner, when the shelter called about the cat thing, that she was bought as a gift when she was a tiny puppy, from a breeder. Another irresponsible pet owner who "buys" and abandons when they get "tired". Somebody should take their butts down to be "put down" for being so lame! UPDATE My beloved Faith passed on to Rainbow Bridge on June 29, 2012 after she became sick on May 14, 2012. I tried all I could do but she was afflicted with cancer and a degenerative disease that gave her trouble walking. Faith will also be the best dog ever. She lived 12 years and so she had a good ride. I miss you, Faith! See you at the Rainbow Bridge, my angel.
