Arrival Story:
When my parents met, my mom had an aggressive dog, Lucy, and my dad had my brother, Sam. After months of therapy, medication, excercise, and little improvement, Luy went to the dog park in the sky. My Dad, a silly man, said 'Not a new dog soon....let's wait, like a year...." My Mom, the brains of this organization said 'fine', but within two weeks Dad started to stop by the Humane Society pretty regularly. My folks actually came on that particular day because they heard their was a 3-legged dog. Their fence isn't very tall and they don't want to chain us up (thank heavens!) and they like big dogs. The 3 legged dog was already gone when they arrived though. When I saw my mom, I could sense a easy home. When we entered the visiting room, mom sat on the floor and I just cured up in her lap, like the sweetest little puppy in the world. I had her hook, line, and sinker! At first my new brothers - Sam, a Shepard mix, and Woody, a cat, were a little weary of me. (Lucy beat them both up pretty good.) But once they saw that I was pretty wimpy, we became friends. I do like to chase Woody - but when he has had enough those claws seem to come out of no-where.
Bio:
I am not always as sweet and easy-going as people think. I am sort of like the Green Beret of the yard - I keep our yard safe from all things squirrel. Squirrels rue the day they even thought about entering my yard. I am Theo, known across the yards as Dog of Squirrel Doom! Oddly, my parents discourage this, go figure?
