I still can't believe that it has been two years since we said good bye... I can still remember that day we met you walked into my lap and my heart. You will always be my sweet boy and I am such the better person for having loved you.
My beloved Diesel Blue, where has the time gone? One year ago today I said good bye to you my beautiful Babyman. I just can't believe that you are gone and a year has past. I still can close my eyes and feel you here. You were so very sweet and loving and friends with so many. From the first day we met, you captured my heart and I was changed forever. You were so goofy and sweet, and oh did you know how to work that sweet face of yours! When you got sick, I was beside myself. The cancer took you so fast, that I really didn't have time to adjust to the fact you would be gone. I love you so very much my sweet baby, and miss you every single day. I know that you are pain free and with your sister Gabriella and the two of you are having so much fun, just like you did when you were together here.
I love you, my Babyman and I know someday we will be together again, and until that time, please visit me in my dreams.
Today would have been my Babyman's 8th birthday. I still can't believe that he is gone.
I still recall so strongly the day we went to "just look" at puppies... 2 hours later we were driving home with my boy fast asleep in my lap. He captured my heart that day, and since meeting him I was forever changed.
We had a huge 1st birthday party for him "Babyman's Birthday Bash", there were about 9 Great Danes there, 3 labs, and 5 mix breeds. We had put all the doggie treats in doggie bowls around the house and had water stations throughout out the backyard. We set the people food and drinks on the kitched counter, we thought it would be out of reach, but you know those Danes! Otis, my friend Amy's boy went right up and helped himself to the cheese plate! It was so funny!! Amy & I just laughed, the next thing my ex's Dad went up and asked if the cheese was good, and we looked at each other and yes, "Yes, it seems to be a real hit"! So, he helped himself!
That day was just one of many special days I had with my boy. He had an amazing way about him, he always seemed to know when I needed him to make me laugh, or kiss away my tears.
