Arrival Story:
we're not sure about peanut's early years.. by the time we came across peanut, he had been the official park-dog for a couple months already. apparently he had been trapped behind the river bank for quite some time, with almost no food and.. well, unlimited supply of water. but because that area was an unofficial dog park, many dog lovers brought him bread and crackers. by the time we saw him, someone had already helped him climb out onto safe ground. but maybe because he was malnurished during his earlier years, his hind legs were a little weak and wobbly, so i tried to bring him dog food to help his bones develop. a couple days later, the typhoon came. i figured that with the typhoon, people wouldn't be taking their dogs to the park, and that would mean no food for peanut! so i went out in the rain to look for him and bring him some canned food for extra energy. needless to say, he gobbled up the food quite quickly.. then started pawing me and whining. it was difficult to leave him.. he actually chased my car as i drove away.. so.. yup, i took him home.

Bio:
peanut is the laziest puppy i've ever met. the vet said that he was about 9 months old, but he acted like a tired old dog. i thought it may have been because he was tired out from living in "the wild" for so long, but now it looks like he just has a naturally subdued personality. which is great for me because i've always wanted a lazy dog to sit and veg with me.

so, the first thing i did after i dragged peanut home was to take him to a vet. one to see if he had a chip implanted so we could find his owner (no luck), two to get him washed (whew), and three.. to ask the vet if he would grow any more(...) i took him to two vets and they both said no.

they lied!

well, i would have taken him home anyway.. maybe the vets didn't want me to chuck him out on account of his future size. but still. he was the same size as moto when he first arrived.. now he's a big chunk of.. yellow fur. he's not fat, but he tends to paddle around like a puppy, and gosh, when he swirls around and hit you on the shins.. you better hope there aren't any sharp objects behind ya. once, i saw him lying on the couch and asked innocently, "wanna eat?" he hopped off the couch barreled straight into my stomach. that's when i realized.. peanut is big.
