Arrival Story:
I got Brookly and Pooky when someone dumped them at a co-workers home. After we contacted the local dog pound, radio station, and newspaper we were unable to find their owners. I fell in love at first sight... ticks, fleas, bad habits and all. The girls were in very poor condition when we first got them, they had worms, they were undernurished, and were absolutely covered in fleas and ticks. After their first vet appointment, it was apparent that Brooklyn had more extreme health problems. So she under went surgery to remove all her mammory glands and the tumors surrounding them. While operating the vet found that someone had delivered her puppies via C-section the material they used to suture her back together was a type of nylon that never healed. All of here internal organs were fused together. The doctor remove a great deal of the nylon material and did the best she could getting her back together. That was about four years ago and she is doing great along with her "partner in crime" Pooky. We love them both and feel blessed to have gotten the chance to be in their lives.

Bio:
Brooklyn is definitely a mama’s girl. She gets very upset if she is left at home. In her free time Brooklyn enjoys volunteering at a local nursing home. All the residents love to visit with her, she is very popular.

Perhaps I Was Mistaken

I know I said I hated daddies harmonica and that Dooly is a horrible singer... Well, I think I was just being jealous. Now when daddy is practicing I get to sit on his lap while Dooly sings along. It isn't soooo bad when Dooly isn't the only one getting attention. I kind of like it now that dad serenades me, it makes me feel special.

What I really Think About Harmonicas

I am sooooo tired of listening to daddy practice that stupid harmonica. And to make matters worse my little brother thinks he can sing. I try to tell mommy not to encourage them but she seems to think they sound good. A girl can't get a good nap in around our house any more! Don't they know I need my beauty sleep?!?!?! Am I the only one with any sanity around here?

My Tail of Devotion for Brooklyn

Who knew you would mean what you do to me. We met by chance, you weren't even supposed to stay with me. I don't know what I would have done if someone had come to claim you. You are my heart. Your so caring and sensitive, so intelligent and brave. You are always there to cuddle with me when I'm sad, to get excited when I get home, and go with me anywhere just so that I don't have to be alone. I'd be lost without you, my little Brooky.

This is a special Tail of Devotion
