I LOOK LIKE A CRAB!

Today I went outside to play. When it was time to come in, I could barely walk. Mom came out to see what was up, and she got that LOOK in her eyes...the LOOK that says we're goin' to the vet. CRAP!

Seems I either got stung or bitten by something...my right front paw is HUGE...like TOTALLY HUGE TOP AND BOTTM..even the PADS! And my face was swelling up. And to top it off, I was drooling.

So off to the vet we went. I got steroid shots, pain shots, and antibiotics. Then they put me in a cage next to a pup who got bit by a copperhead snake...oh MY he looked AWFUL! He was staying for a few days until he got better. Poor guy. Anyway..after I got all the meds, I got to go home.

Mom took me by DQ and I got not one but TWO hamburgers! Then I went home and fell asleep ......

Mom didn't get any pictures....she was too busy fawning over me....LOL.....

Do I have her trained, or what?

FRESH WATER IN THE POOL!

I love saturdays! Mom always cleans out our pool on Saturdays! I stand by, waiting, until the water comes up to the top...then I JUMP in and make it all dirty again!

I also like to dive for my BAD CUZ balls in the pool......I come up and snort like a hippopotamus!

Other than that...not much goin' on.....every now and then I have to remind Idgy that she AIN'T the queen......

My toofers are doing ok.....Mom gives me a lot of canned food in addition to my kibbles....and of course I get my chicken feets...YUMMO!

I WAS A DDPOD!

Wow! Possum last week and me this week! And BOTH times, we didn't know it til several days later......

Mom is SUCH a SLACKER! Could be because she hit herseff in da head with a wheelbarrow yesterday.....right in the face....in her MOUTH! If she keeps this up, she is gonna be like me and be toofless!

WHOAAAAAA! I WENT TO COLLEGE!

Well, yesterday I went to the University of Illinois and had more toofers taken out....but only 3!

The docs there were real nice! ALL LADIES! and I LIKED EM ALOT! and they LIKED ME TOO!!!!!

I liked em sooo much I wasn't even skeered!

So, now I am home...with 3 less toofers.....

My leg has not been bothering me, so mom opted to wait and see how it goes.....

gotta go now...mom has me a BIG bowl of chicken and rice!

HEADIN' to COLLEGE

mom says it's funny.....WAAAAAAAAY back when she was YOUNG...she planned to go to the University of Illinois to be a vet! 'Cept she found out she fainted any time she saw a needle...that kinda put the kibash on that....

but now IIIIII am going to college! and the U of I at that! I have an appointment for Tuesday to get all my toofers pulled, and then see someone about my newest bad leg.....

Mom says we're gonna get the toofers pulled, and then get an estimate for my leg.....the leg will have to wait for a bit...but it's ok I have realllll good pain pills...

I can't wait til Tuesday! I get Mom to myself allll day...it's a 4 hour drive up there....then be at the teaching hospital all day...then drive home.....hahahhaha....Agadore and Possum will be SOOOOO jealous!

OH MANNNNNN! I'm TIRED of being broken!

So...mom has noticed I've been limping lately....I hold out my front right leg like I'm trying to be a storm trooper......she tried rest, ice, and egg mcmuffins.....nothing helped...

so then I started being snarfy with Possum....not so unusual..she can be a royal pain...but then I got snarfy with AGADORE....in my 4 yrs on this earth I have NEVER been even slightly pissy with him....

So...today we went to the vet.....thrill...

They gave me a shot that made me fall asleep before I knew what was going on....dropped like a rock in mom's lap.....then they took xrays and moved my leg around.....

Not good....not good.....the vet had a realllllly long name for it that included "dessicans" that's all mom could remember....anyway....we have to go up to the University of Illinois to get looked at.....something about arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder....and also....get this...

I have to get THE REST of my toofers pulled....ALLLLLLLL of them..they are all down to pulp and very painful....

Thank dog my nuts are already gone or I'm sure they'd want those, too...

So...mom's gonna stop drinking soda....stop eating sweets....and put money in a jar so I can get my toofers out and my shoulder fixed....

When I got home today, mom hadda lift me into the house...I was still pretty doped up....I woke up just long enough to sit in the floor and pee all over myself.....mom loves me....she didnt' even yell....just wiped me down and put a blankie on me so I could go back to sleep....

So--looks like it's off to college for me....the U of I.

The last three I took outside and destroyed pretty quickly...

Mom says these are stayin' in da house...

I got to play with 'em today! I made 'em squeak until my jaws ached!

I can't WAIT til the next barkn deal!

WTW? Mom came to work and saw the prezzies for me and wondered...Did Beaner make diary pick or dog pick of the day?

OOOOOOOOPS! It's my GUESTIMATED birthday-the one on all my vet records....

AND MOM FORGOT....

She's been kinda busy...Onyx' family had a death last week...Onyx' mom's MIL.....so mom was kinda busy with that....

But I KNOW she saw Puxatawney Phil on TV today...and that's ALWAYS been her cue that it's MY DAY!

Well...I guess now that she's been on here and been set straight she will get me something special...

oh...wait....I have 3 MORE WUBBAS in da mail! Oughta be here ANY DAY! I bet THAT's what she gots me for my pawresesnts!!!!

ANOTHER TRIP TO THE DENTIST.....

And I am two teeth lighter.....sigh....

Mom noticed I wasn't eatin' or actin' right....

So off to the vet....who knocked me out and took not one but TWO of mah toofers.....

I have ONE canine left.....and several nubs .....

Mom went out and bought me a bunch of canned food....this might not be allll bad....

Mom says my teeth are bad cause I didn't get food when I was a pup and they gave me meth to try and make me mean...

all it did was make me skinny and toofless.....

I still have stitches in mah gums.....but they will dissolve on their own.....

Silly Possum- not contecnt to let me have all the attention....she ripped off one of her nails....just enough for it to be painful and get infected....so she got to come along and have her OWN dream and toenail removal.....

So for now, me and da Possum are on light duty....no squirrels, no ground hogs, and no birds.....

Possum gonna go thru withdrawal!
