GREATTTT DAY!

Sooo this was a big day for me!!
I got a free day at doggie daycare....my first time. I had a lot of fun (and layed down in the car for the first time ever so you KNOW I was tired!). The daycare guy said he was worried about me at first when I saw the dogs from behind a fence, but that once I got in the group with them, I was actually a little scared. He said I warmed up though and that this kind of socialization would be good for me. So my Grandma is being nice and will pay for me to go every once in a while! Yayyy!

The SECOND great thing that happened was that I'm almost POSITIVE I know what breed I am! The daycare guy (he must be good luck) said my mom should look up Patterdale Terriers cause he could swear I looked like one...not a Jack Russell like the shelter guessed. Well she went home and looked up and POW up pops a picture that looks exactly like me. So she read a little more and POW there was my personality. It also ruled out her desire to get a kitty or a rabbit....apparently Patterdales like to hunt.......to kill. So no little furry things in this house. Which could also explain my love of big dogs and strange fear/anger towards the tiny guys.

Anyway I'm super excited now and mom's super happy to finally know what I am....not that it matters, I'm still just Rusty in her eyes :D

My family!!

Did you see the new picture of my family and me?? We were in the woods...it was lotttsss of fun. My buddy Lucas (the other furry guy in the picture) and I got to run around off leash and sniff everything. We knew we had a job though! We kept circling the area we were in to make sure no mean animals came around. We even got to have some of the food my mom and her boyfriend were cooking....it was mmm mmmmm good.

I hope we go in the woods when it gets warm again (I start shivering after a while w/out my sweater....but don't tell my big buddy Lucas! )

Fetch!

I finally learned how to play fetch the RIGHT WAY today!! I usually just held onto the ball like it would disappear if I let it go. Today though Mom taught me that if I just drop it in her hand she'll throw it again for me...which I like!!

Mom said I was a very good boy and gave me lots of hugs so I thought it was good enough to share! :)

Next goal: Frisbee :P (well maybe when it gets warmer than 10 degrees......)

Santa!

Hey! I met SANTA today! I made sure I asked him for lots of treats and lots of toys. He said I was very handsome and mommy was very happy with our picture :) I just hope he didn't see me being mean to the other doggies on line, even if he did I think he knows I was just scared.........I hope.

My new best friend!

Hey! GUESS WHAT?! My mommy's boyfriend saved a dog last week! Mom was a little nervous to bring me over to meet him cause I always bark at the other dogs in the neighborhood, but I walked in and it was instant friendship! There must be something special about this guy!

Luke is bigger than me but that's fine cause I can just run underneath him when we're playing. He's not as playful as I am (even though he's younger) but mom says he just needs to gain weight and get more confidence. Wellll I can help him with the confidence....I show him how to sit for a treat, and how I jump up and whine when I have to go outside and then go potty outside, not by the door on the way out (cause I don't want him to get yelled at), and I even show him how to play with his toys. He is teaching me too though...he says its okay to lay down and relax sometimes (which mom seems happy about so I'll give it a try even though its pretty boring). Soon I'm going to teach him how to be a good boy and listen when he is called so we can go for walks in the woods together.

I'm really glad I finally have a dog buddy to play with cause I have to admit, sometimes those humans just don't play right.....
