Quick Bio:

Chasing the tennis ball, chewing on the rawhide, scent-marking, barking, 'diving' under the bed to hide so he doesn't get kicked out of the bedroom!

Being kicked out of the bedroom, having rawhides taken away, being scolded by people.

Favorite Toy:
Tennis ball, tennis ball, tennis ball, tennis ball, tennis ball ... !

Favorite Food:
You mean there's food other than Costco kibble?

Favorite Walk:
The entire state of Colorado, if you'd let him. Barring that, anywhere in the neighborhood, usually up to the park.

Best Tricks:
Tricks implies that he'll try something other than brute force to get that tennis ball or rawhide out of your hand.

Arrival Story:
I fell in love with Max when he was at Table Mountain Animal Center. I put my name on his list but I was the fourth name down so I thought for sure he'd end up with someone else. Lo and behold, the call came and three days later, ten month old Max came home to live with us!

He's the alpha dog in our house on pretty much any issue. If people scold him, he gets ticked and will go terrorize other dogs to take out his frustrations at being reprimanded. He doesn't really know many other people (and we need to work on that) but once he gets to know you, he LOVES to hug people! He'll get right up on your lap and place his paws around your neck and nuzzle in. He's a very affectionate little cuss.

I could be in the Doggie Olympics, I sure could!

It's been raining a lot lately and I don't mind the rain. What I don't like at all though is that nasty thunder stuff. That baby gate mom and dad put at the bedroom door to keep us out hasn't stopped me one little bit! I'm small and athletic - those Olympians have nothing on me! I can hurdle that thing faster than mom & dad can blink, it's so cool. But then I have to dive under the bed real quick or else mom or dad will chuck me back out into the scary parts of the house where the thunder might get me or mom/dad won't be there to protect me. They just don't understand how scary it was when I was out on the streets during puppy-time. It was bad. Loud noises freak me out and we didn't have these kinds of noises at our last house. If I'm not under the bed, you can find me behind the toilet. Can I have a cookie and a hug now, please?

New people, oh boy!

I don't usually like meeting new people. They just don't understand me, I'm very complex after all. Mom keeps telling me I'm the littlest dog in the house but as far as I'm concerned, I'm a Great Dane and these people who come into MY house have the most annoying habit of looking directly at me. How rude & confrontational! Hrmph.

But Mom & Dad are telling me that I'll get to meet two new people on Sunday. I hope they smell like dogs though. Those are the best people to sniff, you know.

Fun weekend!

I had a fun weekend. We didn't go anywhere but I got to play in the soaker hose so that was fun! My people also spent some time in the yard with us and that was loads of fun. There were some annoying squirrelers that were running along our fence and I did a sweet half twist summersault off the side fence trying to catch one. I didn't catch him but I showed off my super Max skills.
