Arrival Story:
Part of my responsibility, as a volunteer with the local SPCA, was to take pictures of the new dogs and cats to post on the web. We were taken through the isolation area to take a picture of a dog that had just become available when I saw this little white fluff ball lying in her cage. I made the comment that she would not last long, and would be adopted soon. As soon as the comment came out of my mouth, she stood up and I saw that this little baby was missing a leg. It was explained to me that a woman had seen her and a littermate running the streets and witnessed Cassidy being hit by a truck. The woman kept the healthy puppy but couldn’t afford the impending vet bills for Cassidy. When they examined her, they saw that she had previous injuries, one of her back legs was about an inch shorter the the rest and was infested with maggots; the leg could not be saved. I couldn’t allow just anyone to take this angel, she had been through so much. I already had four dogs and didn’t know if I could handle another one. I enlisted the help of an animal communicator who told me that they wanted to take the puppy in and give her a good life as much as I did.

Cassidy shows true Husky traits like talking to hear herself talk. She talks when she's bored, when she wants attention, when she is playing, she even talks in her sleep!!
