Surgery!

Well, the warts on my paws went away with the medicine that the vet gave Mommy to put on my paws. That made Mommy & Daddy happy. I had my eye surgery at the regular vets since he was a whole lot cheaper. The surgery was last Thursday. My eye looks a LOT better. It's still red & irritated, but the bump is a lot smaller than it was. YAY!! Also, he discontinued the meds for now & just has me on antibiotics. So I'm only getting something on my eye twice a day instead of 6x a day! That's a lot better to deal with. Well, I gotta go nap. Woof at ya later!

My poor paws!!

Well, last month when I was at the dog park, the ground was very icy & I kept slipping. Both of my dew claws musta got caught on the ice when I slipped because they were bleeding everywhere. Mommy's glad there was snow on the ground so she knew I was bleeding though. So we went home & Mommy cleaned up my paws & wrapped them for a few days so they would heal. Thos are all healed...now this time I was limping. Daddy looked at my paws, but didn't see anything & just thought maybe I was being my prissy self not liking the mud. But when we got home, Mommy noticed that my right front paw was red & swollen. So she cleaned it & thought I had something poke me & that there was a bunch of mud in the wound. So it was cleaned as best as she could get it & wrapped. Later, she cleaned it again & noticed that it was wart-like bumps & not holes at all. There's 1 big one & 1 little one on the skin between my pads. Don't know if this is related to why my eyes have bumps on them or not. But we're trying to decide if we should call the regular vet or the specialist to ask them. The regular vet would definitely be cheaper...but not necessarily better. Hmmm....My poor paws. Mommy said that I don't need any more bumps on my body. Wish me luck on figuring this out!

Surgery!

Well, I had my check-up at the vet on Friday. The vet wasn't too happy about the lack of progress that my eyes have made. The little lumps have mostly gone away, but you can still kinda see one. The big lump hasn't made much progress at all. :( So she wants t do surgery...but Mommy & Daddy can't afford $1,000 right now. So we're trying to do what we can with meds until we see what else we can do. Wish us luck!

My eye...

I went to the vet today because mommy & daddy saw a bump on my eye & my eye looked a little cloudy. So they were concerned. They got me in to the vet as soon as they could get an appointment. The vet looked at it & said it looked like a puncture wound. So mymmy has to put antibiotics on my eye twice a day & keep an eye on it to make sure it's getting better & not worse. Hmm...I don't think I should chase my ball into the thorns anymore. BOL

Visiting is fun!!

Happy Memorial Day to all! I hope you had a great weekend in whatever way you chose to spend it. Me & my family went to Ohio to visit Rufus' family. We had tons of fun! Mommy, Daddy & me camped in their back yard. BOL We hadn't seen Rufus in over a year. So it was great to see him again. He's not much bigger than me! We went to the park on Sunday & walked a TON. Then we walked to DQ & got some ice cream! Yum!! On Monday there was a parade! I've never seen a parade before. Mommy thought I'd get scared...but I loved it! Plus, regardless that a lot of the people in OH don't like pitties, I got people to pet me because I was behaving so well! mommy was SO proud of me! :)

Well, I'm off to sleep. I had an exciting weekend & now I need to sleep!

Spring!!

I LOVE spring time! We went to the park today & I got to splash in the mud & the creek! I usually don't like rolling around in the mud...the creek I love though. But I've got spring fever so bad that I found whatever water was available & just rolled in it! Mommy took some pictures to show you how silly she thought I was. I don't mind....I like being silly & the center of attention. Hope you all are having a great weekend & a wonderful start to spring!

I miss Nali=(

My mommy's worried because I am depressed. I've been carrying around my stuffed monkey like my life depends on it. I've been eating just fine...that's one thing I'll never give up. But I have been sleeping more. Mommy's not sure if I'm sleeping more because I hate the cold weather outside & would rather sleep that go out there (I kinda get like that every winter) or if it's because I miss my sisfur. Mommy has a new friend all picked out to get for me to play with. She's a beautiful little brindle Boxer puppy. She was the runt, so she won't get very big (which is what mommy wants). We just gotta convince Daddy that we should get her. I hope he'll agree. I could sure use another doggy to romp with.

I met my cousin!!

I went to a place called Cincinnati, OH this summer to visit my human aunt & uncle. They have a doggy too!! He was TONS of fun to play with. He's HUGE though! Mommy says that he's an Irish Wolfhound & his name is Gus. Whatever he is, his head's as big as 1/2 of my body! That's no joke either! Daddy took a picture of us laying beside each other so he could compare our sizes. Hope you like the picture & hope you had a good of a summer as I did! Woof!

Fun class!!

I went to my 1st basic obedience class tonight. It was SO much fun! Everyone was amazed that I'm a pittie & am SO super friendly with everyone in class. :) I think I did pretty good for my 1st class. We were practicing loose-leash walking. I got to find out what KONG stuffing is all about....YUMMY!!!! BOL That was the only thing that kept me from almost pulling mommy's arm off! She slowly moved me to regular treats...but I still prefer the KONG stuffing. :) Mommy says I'm a spoiled brat! She thinks I'll get better though. So wish me luck! We'll update you next week after class.

A new brother?!

Mommy says I'm getting a new brother soon. She says he's another kitty! I love kitties so that's fine with me. I can't wait to meet him! I'm so excited!
