Arrival Story:
Well, with all they stories about how "bad" pit bulls are...I was raised in a family that never allowed me to have one when I was a kid. So, after I got married & was trying to decide what kind of dog I wanted, I did some research & decided I wanted to own one of these "bad" dogs. A few months later, I saw an ad in the paper for pit mix puppies. Her mom was a small black/white "pit bull" (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) & her dad a bit larger & was the dark brindle color (Boxer/APBT). She has a cute little underbite. LOL I went to look at the litter & decided to bring home Star. The poor litter was living in filthy conditions. I know she wasn't from a "rescue" but she's my rescue. She's the best dog I've ever had the privlage of owning.!
Bio:
Star LOVES to "sass" LOL She makes aroo noises when she's "sassing". She's also taught Denali how to do this. It gets frustrating at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

Momma's so sad. I went to the Rainbow Bridge today. I had a 3 week battle with pancreatic cancer & I lost the battle today. Momma says at least I'm not suffering anymore. I will never have to suffer or be sick again. Isn't that great?!

Mommy took me to the doc to see why my belly is so bloated. The doc looked very concerned. He put me on some pills & said to come back in a couple days for x-rays. Mommy got to be in the room with my while I got x-rayed so that was good. The vet called after we got home & said I have something called cancer in my spleen & pancreas. I don't know what cancer is...but mommy started crying a lot. :-/ So I've been cuddling with her a lot to try to cheer her up.

Well, the warts on my paws went away with the medicine that the vet gave Mommy to put on my paws. That made Mommy & Daddy happy. I had my eye surgery at the regular vets since he was a whole lot cheaper. The surgery was last Thursday. My eye looks a LOT better. It's still red & irritated, but the bump is a lot smaller than it was. YAY!! Also, he discontinued the meds for now & just has me on antibiotics. So I'm only getting something on my eye twice a day instead of 6x a day! That's a lot better to deal with. Well, I gotta go nap. Woof at ya later!
