Lovies!!! Ella is a big lap dog, and constantly wants your arms around her. Ella is the best camping dog ever! And she loves to play with Teakah, but only for a short while, because she's a LAZY.

Pet-Peeves:
When the human members of her pack leave for work. When you won't put your arms around her when she wants you to.

Favorite Toy:
Her Petstages Turtle, Gingerbread Man. And The Garfield. Ella loves The Garfield.

Favorite Food:
Eukanooba's. Ella is very funny about human food. She oftentimes won't touch it, and then when she does, she makes this funny face, where it looks like she's chewing it with her front teeth!

Favorite Walk:
Any walk! But especially ones up in the mountains. Ella prefers to walk off-leash (does much better this way), but doesn't get that luxury very often.

Best Tricks:
Hanging out in a camping chair (not really a trick, but cute anyway). Blaming Teakah for doing the garbage digging. (Although we all know that Ella helped).

Arrival Story:
Ella was running down the street that I worked on one day. It was raining very hard, she was emaciated, covered in ticks, and bleeding. As I usually did, I tried to call her over, but unlike most dogs, Ella came running over to me and just licked my face. I think that she knew that things would be okay from that point on. I brought her home only intending to foster her until a suitable home could be found for her. She never left. My pack and I loved her so much, we couldn't let her go. No one ever claimed her, and she fit in so perfectly at our house, we would've been doing the other animals a disservice to remove her. She loved Teakah and our departed dog Freckle instantly. She even loved the cats, and they loved her too. There was virtually NO adjustment period from the day she arrived. She just seemed to fit.

Bio:
Ella is a lazy. She is also overweight and is on a diet (big change from how she looked a couple of years ago). She loves to play, but in Very Small doses. She is very perceptive of human emotion, and will nose nudge me until my arm is around her neck when I am upset/sad. Ella loves to go camping and likes to swim too. When Ella gets really excited, she does the "Butt Tuck". It is absolutely hillarious! She just butt tucks around the house for a few minutes. Please see the picture below to see a shot of her in full-blown "butt tuck" action!

Mommie, Daddy, Grandpa and I drove in that blue box thing on Christmas Eve. It was pretty scary, because Mommie yelled out one time and she said the "s" word because the blue box started sliding and almost hit another box. We drove, and there was snow EVERYWHERE, and lots of it. And the best part was that there was no other doggie foot prints through any of it that I could see! As soon as we got 1/2 of a Eukanooba hour away from where we were going, it was all green~ no snow. And it was REALLY green! I got to play with a really pretty doggie named Blue, and I heard everyone saying that he's a Grey Ghost (but he didn't really look like a ghost). He's my doggy cousin. And I played with the mini's as Mommie and Daddy call them (Schnauzers), but there was an extra Mini that came out of nowhere. I don't know that Mini! Everyone was so nice to me, and unlike those other puppies, I only was scolded once the whole time! It was good over in that green place, and we came back to the snow on Christmas Day and Teakah and I were able to spend Christmas day together! Hope that everyone's Christmas was Barkrific!

Homemade Babones!

Mommie made some homemade babones yesterday! She worked very diligently in the kitchen where our Eukanooba's are kept. Teakah and I smelled this wonderous scent that filled every last corner of the house for about 2 hours. (The only reason that I know what an hour is is due to me using them to calculate when I get my Eukanooba's. I won't even wait until 6:00 pm, I usually let her know it's that time about 5 minutes before!) As they began coming out of that hot box, mommie let me and Teakah test a few! They were soooo yummy! Then mommie gave me & Teakah each a small bite of the raw stuff. I spit mine out back onto the floor... I hope I didn't hurt mommie's feelings then. Later, after she was done baking, mommie decided to test her treats up against some store-bought basted ones. Teakah went first, and mommie let her sniff each babone, and Teakah chose the Peanut Butter ones that mommie made (Buttkiss). Then it was my turn. :-( Mommie let me sniff each one, and I chose the basted ones! :-( I hope that didn't hurt mommie's feelings; I heard Daddy remark something about Ella hurting her feelings. Mommie tested her hypothesis on us two more times, and I tested true to my original choice: the basted bones. So did Teak though- she chose peanut butter 3 times. I just wish that Mommie knew that I just like the beefies better than peanut butter in general, and that her bones were delish!
Have a good day, I'll bark more later!
~Ella~
