This past weekend was a fun and busy weekend. I got to attend the Meet the Breeds event at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC with my owner as an ambassador of the Italian Greyhound breed. I got to meet SO many people and I got more kisses and treats then I think I ever got before in my whole life! I went with my son, Valentino, who got to meet a really nice lady from Dogster. She gave him a treat, so he really liked her. Anyway, It was so much fun and I think I want to do it again next year!

Four weeks ago, Star had her first litter of puppies. She has been a fantastic mommy to three boys and two girls. All of them are Red and White like their mom (and dad too!). She was very attentive to them when they still had their eyes closed. And she has always been very good about letting people handle her puppies. She doesn't make a peep when you pick one up, but she won't take her eyes off her baby until it is back in their pen. When they started to teeth she did didn't mind when they would bite her paws or pull on her ears or try to catch her tail. Now that they are pretty steady on their feet and can walk (and RUN) around, she is great at teaching them how to play. She is like a big puppy herself. I really am so proud of her. I know that she will raise a great litter of the next generation of Italian Greyhounds, so here is to Star and her beautiful babies.
