Pet-Peeves:
SweetPea hates being ignored when begging for goodies and will literally *scream* at me if I don't give her a little of what I'm eating. She HATES baths, and she really does not like being brushed.

Favorite Toy:
Currently, it's a big stuffed parrot who squawks loudly when chewed on, a Chimpanzee who has a "real" Chimp screech, and any small stuffed animal with a squeaker inside so she can make it holler!

Favorite Food:
Anything! SweetPea is a tiny eating machine, and spends a lot of time "cruising for crumbs" :) One of her favorite low-cal snacks is chicken jerkey that I make in one-week batches so it's always fresh.

Favorite Walk:
Since she's 10 now, it's a slow 1-mile walk around a very quiet neighborhood close to our home...She really enjoys checking our everyone's yard for good smells, especially other pups.

Sitting up and waving!

Arrival Story:
We had been wanting a long coat Chihuahua for a couple of years when in the Fall of 2000, we found SweetPea who was just 11 weeks old at a breeder half a day's ride from us. We drove to the breeder's, picked her out of the litter, drove home and then back again the following week, because the breeder didn't adopt her puppies out until they were twelve weeks old. We made two 12-hour round trips in a week to adopt her. When we brought her home, she weighed under 2 pounds. We've had her now since the end of September 2000. Sharing our lives with SweetPea have been the BEST, most BLESSED years in our lives.

Bio:
SweetPea is tiny but tough. She protects us from ALL other animals, especially those on the TV. All animals from alligators to zebras (especially dogs though) routinely get barked right off the TV screen when they come into our living room via TV shows. Several times when SweetPea has "chased" the TV animals off the screen and they've left the picture, she has run around behind the TV to see if she can find them! She's smart, manipulative, spoiled and PERFECT :) SweetPea loves to be petted and cuddled while on our laps. If you stop petting or rubbing her, she will become annoyed and give you a forceful nudge with her nose until you begin cuddling or scratching her again. She does not take "No" for an answer. And, she always gets her way :) She's a sweetie, but if she doesn't get her own way, she can also be a tiny terror.
