her seat belt, loud kisses, being called a kitty, birds and squirrels that come into her yard, and oddly, coughing and ceiling fans(?!).
Favorite Toy:
Nylarings, Nylabones, Gumabones, tennis balls (she can crush these flat in her jaws), and frisbees.
Favorite Food:
whether or not it's her favorite, Marlys eats Diamond Chicken & Rice and Royal Canin Dental DD 20. A blob of yogurt on top is a treat.
Favorite Walk:
basically anywhere, but especially in the mountains and near water
Best Tricks:
beyond sit, stay, down, shake, and roll-over, Marlys has learned Jump, Teeter, Table, Tire, Scramble, and Climb it in agility training. Once she rescued a log from the middle of a mountain lake inexplicably, that was a pretty good trick.
Bio:
Marlys is a relatively petite ACD, staying jsut at or below 40#.
She first learned to kayak in the Summer of 2002. Although at first she sank like a rock, she learned to paddle pretty well very quickly. Now she take turns swimming along side the boat and "resting" on the bow and ALWAYS wearing a PFD.
She has also become a pretty good backpacker and carries her own food, bowls, leashes, and collars in her saddle bags.
In Spring, 2005, we started agility training. Marlys seems to be a natural... it's her handler that needs the training.
