Arrival Story:
we had been doing foster care for a dog shelter for a few months, and decided we were ready to have a dog of our own. all of the dogs we fostered were large and we realized that wasn't right for us in our tiny nyc apt. one rainy day we went to pet stores just to meet some different small dogs, definitely not to take one home. the last store we visited was in bay ridge brooklyn, not a very nice place. there were 3 chihuahuas one little dog was sick, coughing, and hiding under the chair, when we picked him up he climbed on ian's shoulder and into the hood of his parka. he was 4 months old, with, a wandering eye, one ear flopped over, and a hacking cough, we wouldn't go home without him.
