Conning people out of their food, flirting, getting walks, he can open the door himself

Arrival Story:
I had been looking for a dog for a long time and I knew when I found him, I'd just know. So I went to the Carson pound and circled it three times with no luck, then I stopped frustrated and looked down. There he was big head, ribs showing through his fur, stick tail, dirty brown puppy and he looked at me. He popped his head up and wagged his tail. I knew it was him, I said hi baby are you my puppy? He grew more excited and I grabbed my mom, we were allowed to play with him in the outside play area.. The Animal shelter worker watched me play with him...then she said "You don't want this dog." I gave her the dirtiest look and said I want this dog! Then she looked embarassed and ran to get his collar and information. My dOobie was $79 and worth every penny.

Bio:
He's an Akita, Norweigian Elkhound and possibly a German shephere hard to tell.. his face looks GS but smaller muzzle, but we saw a puppy that looked and acted just like Oobie and he was a Norweigian Elkhound and the Pound said he was Akita so we really don't know.. but he's very intelligent and well mannered.. He's practically human, he opens doors, listens and perks up at certain words and is a big attention hog and flirt!

October 14, 2006 Saturday-10:28 a.m.

Doobie passed away early Saturday morning after many days of throwing up, going to the emergency room and several injections. None of which helped or assisted the doctors in figuring what was wrong with him. He fought long and hard and was brave up until the end..staying strong for all of us. We loved him dearly and cherished every day of the last short 8 years he gave to us. Thank you to all who loved him and became part of his family. We are in deep morning and there will never be another doober like him. He was smart, funny, loving, devoted and empathetic. He brought my family together and even tied me and my boyfriend closer together. He made everyone he met happy, especially children and my bunnies.

He was an amazing dog, friend and buddy. We love you Snoopy and we will see you again. Have fun running around with Belle!

In Loving Memory,
Snoopy "Oobie" Ogushi

Prayer for Snoopy

Hey Hey Everyone, Tonight my dog Snoopy had a serious convulsion that lasted a few minutes. He is currently still twitching and may have to go to emergency care. My mom and dad are watching him closely. He's a young dog only 7 years old but suffers from diabetes and Kushings disease. If you can I want to ask if you can just say a small prayer for him to get better. He's an amazing dog and is loved by our family and Daniel very deeply.Thank you for your time,Kara

Things were looking pretty grim a while ago but I'm better than ever now!
I have Kushing's, Diabetes and a bit of arthritis but I lost all that excess weight I had and now after stabilizing on meds I'm living like the good ol days. I can walk on my own again and I'm going out my doggie door. No more carrying me around or peeing on the floor. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts!
